Excellent Air-Dry Clay for All Crafting Needs!
Excellent Air-Dry Clay for All Crafting Needs!I recently purchased the Fevicryl Mouldit 900g clay, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way! Whether you are a beginner or a professional artist, this product is a must-have for all your sculpting and crafting needs.Packaging & First ImpressionsThe product comes in a well-sealed packet containing two components: the resin base and the hardener. The packaging ensures the contents remain fresh and ready to use. As soon as I opened it, I noticed the clay had a smooth and non-sticky texture, making it easy to handle.Ease of Use & WorkabilityOne of the best things about this clay is how effortlessly it blends together. Mixing the resin base and hardener in a 1:1 ratio gives a perfect consistency for sculpting. Unlike traditional clay that requires baking, this is an air-dry clay that hardens on its own, which is a huge plus for those who don’t have access to an oven or kiln.I had around 90 minutes of working time before the clay started setting, which was perfect for detailing my sculptures. If you are working on a large piece, I recommend keeping small portions covered to prevent premature drying.Drying Time & FinishThe clay dries completely within 24 hours, leaving a rock-hard finish. Once dried, the surface is smooth and can be easily sanded for further refining. I love that it does not crack while drying, unlike some other air-dry clays I have used in the past.Another fantastic feature is how well it takes paint. I used acrylic paints on my dried models, and the colors adhered beautifully without any chipping or flaking. For extra durability, I applied a clear varnish, which gave my artwork a professional finish.Applications & VersatilityFevicryl Mouldit is incredibly versatile. I have used it to make keychains, decorative wall hangings, fridge magnets, and even small jewelry pieces. The clay is strong enough to hold fine details, making it ideal for intricate designs. It also sticks well to various surfaces like wood, glass, and metal, which expands its usability. I even tried embedding small embellishments into the clay before it dried, and they stayed firmly in place.Pros & Cons✅ Pros:✔️ Easy to mix and use✔️ Air-dry formula (no baking needed)✔️ Long working time (around 90 minutes)✔️ Dries rock hard without cracking✔️ Smooth, non-sticky texture✔️ Works well with acrylic paint and varnish✔️ Adheres to multiple surfaces❌ Cons:❌ Dries fast once mixed, so you need to work quickly❌ Can be a bit sticky at first (lightly dusting hands with talcum powder helps)Final VerdictOverall, Fevicryl Mouldit 900g is a fantastic product for sculptors, crafters, and hobbyists. It is easy to use, highly versatile, and delivers professional-quality results. If you love working with clay, this is an excellent investment. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐--

Great beginner clay. Consistency can be better.
I worked with hardware grade epoxy putty before so I had great expectations for this clay. And my expectations were met, mostly.Positives1. Good clay for beginners to experiment with2. Paint goes smooth on top of the paint3. The clay dries light grey which could actually pass for white!4. Adding dry pigments like eyeshadow, dry pastels into the clay added a beautiful soft colour to the pieces5. The best consistency you could find in airdry clay, a direct competition to terracotta in consistency.6. Great price value. In fact, the best you could find for this price.7. Amazing finish. The pieces don't reduce in size and the finish turns out smooth.Negatives1. Adding acrylic or other wet paints to the clay will alter the composition and make it goopy2. Mixing the clay without gloves can be a bit of a hassle as it has the tendency to stick everywhere. But once the clay is mixed it is way better to work with3. Etching or carving onto the clay to make intricate pieces failed4. The consistency of the clay keeps changing and hardening every 15 minutes, so it can be hard to get used to feel of the clayTips when working with the clay:1. Use gloves when mixing the clay or pigments2. Use superglue with eyepins if you're making charms with the clay3. Mix smaller quantities at once so you won't waste much clay4. Make bigger pieces as smaller pieces can be harder to craft.5. Making trinket dishes, beads are the best use this clay can get6. It's better to paint on top than to mix colours into the clay. Paint when the clay is still a little soft.6. Add clear nail polish as varnishOverall review6.5/10 for intermediate, experienced users8/10 for beginnersIf you have an oven at home go for a polymer clay range instead.

now my favourite material!
pros:-it is easy to work with-takes detail readily-easy to carve-dries HARD-easy to paint over with acrylic paint, easy to seal with most varnishescons:-it smells unpleasant, only use in well-ventilated area-i developed rashes when mixing the two parts with my bare hands, so please use gloves to mix; once mixed, i can touch the material with my bare hands fyi-it dries QUICKpro AND con: it dries VERY quickly so one must be strategic when planning a piecei've been playing with this material since january of this year and it has become my most favourite material. it is lovely, it is a joy, and it is very intuitive. i've made many things, ranging in detail and size and complexity, and they have all come out well, given my level of skill at the time of making.i will say this, though: do NOT use mod podge to seal this, it will NEVER DRY. i made this mistake for a good long while, and since i switched to a regular acrylic gloss varnish i haven't had any issues with tackiness.

Bad quality clay. Tough to mould
My kids were excited to have it but there excitement died away in few days. Clays dried out too fast and is not worth to be bought again.

Very nice
The product is extremely good and easy to work with. My only issue is that everything I make looks weird but i blame that on my lack of talent :/
