Hudson Bay Challis Moving Dot Bright Multi Batik, Fabric by the Yard

The strong, deep colors are vibrant. I thought it would be heavier...I have a one-size sleeveless tent-ish long 'caftan' I wanted to use as a pattern for another one, made of this fabric, but this turns out to be quite thin when held to the light. I'll have to line it and it just made the project a bit more difficult. The company took about 2 weeks to cut and send the fabric. It had a nice sizing when new, but since rayon challis tends to shrink, I ran it in cold water, tumbled to warm, dried on a line, and the colors remained vibrant. I appreciate that they sell by-the-yard. Not all fabric vendors are doing that, so you have to be alert to descriptions. Highly recommended (if you want a thin, almost-see through rayon).

In the photo it looks predominantly hot pink/fuchsia. What I received is mostly orange, definitely not a color I like. Also, part of the piece looks like it was left in a sunny window too long and is very faded. The fabric is super thin too. I should know better than to buy fabric on Amazon, oh well, lesson learned.

Exactly as shown on website. So happy to have found this fabric! I can't wear synthetics, so finding anything that I like in rayon or cotton is always a challenge. I washed the blouse I made from this fabric in the washing machine and put it in the dryer - it came out looking great!
