This is a great book for the seamstress who likes to sew doll dresses! It starts out giving basic instructions for sewing the dresses followed by more in depth instructions for each individual dress. I wanted to add sleeves to one of the sleeveless dresses and contacted the author to find out if I could mix and match patterns. She was quick to answer and very helpful. She said that since they were doll dresses that I could add sleeves to a sleeveless dress. I did, and love the outcome. So, this is an extremely versatile book with lots of options. It also contains the patterns for the dresses! It's great for the beginner to the advanced seamstress. At the price, you can't go wrong!

I have been waiting a year for this new book to come out. Her books are always very detailed instruction wise and with this book you have the option of printing out the pattern pieces if you don't want to trace them though printed patterns are included. I like her books because she gives lots of basic sewing information on harder techniques at the beginning of the book. 40 gorgeous pieces to sew and gift. At the back of the book there are links to her Facebook group and blog so you can get help and show off your creations. Great book ! The picture above is one of her dresses from her Doll Days book lots of detail in her designs. I will post a picture out of this book as soon as I get downstairs to make one.

This book has very cute designs for the 18" doll and you can download the patterns to your own printer or trace them out of the book. But even taking into account the warning that the book is for intermediate to advanced doll dress makers, I was disappointed by the disjointed sewing instructions. The instructions jump around from section to section and for the dress I made I had to figure some steps out for myself. Also, the typography with "Tips" embedded right into the instructions was confusing. This book is only for very experienced seamstresses.

This book contains several basic patterns along with multiple options to change things up making for a huge variety of dresses. If you join the author's facebook group she posts lots of additional ideas on how to use these patterns. Sadly I have not had a chance to make up any of these designs yet but I am anxiously looking forward to sewing time!

This pattern book, "Doll Dress Boutique" by Erin Hentzel is well put together. So many patterns to choose from and allows you to tweek, making one of a kind dresses! The AG models are lovingly portrayed to be almost lifelike in their poses. Be aware that when your "real" little girls see these dresses, they will beg for one of each! Inspires me to sew, sew & sew! You will not regret purchasing this book of patterns.

So beautiful!! My daughter and I opened over this when it arrived, and it’ll be hard to decide what to make first. This book covers all levels of sewing, from beginner to advanced, the instructions are very clear and well illustrated with color photographs.

Love love love this book. The patterns are so easy to use. Results are wonderful. So easy to adapt and be creative. Possibilities are as endless as your imagination!!

Full instructions & pattern pieces are included to sew complete dolly wardrobe. Can't wait to start sewing outfits for my granddaughter's 18" doll collection.

Originally bought the book but the tracing and coping of the patterns was ridiculous. The Kindle edition fixed that issue so that I could print the patterns directly from Kindle to my printer. I thought I would have to have a Kindle device to purchase this, but Amazon accesses the Kindle for. you. Great idea.
