Magic Sliders 4100 Series 4PK 4" RND Sliding Disc, 1, Blue

I will only by the Magic Sliders brand sliders!!! These are the best product and work the cost. They work far better than any other that I found. Don't be fooled by others in big box stores, that are just plastic. These have a very slippery surface that slides very well on carpet. I have moved VERY HEAVY items with these, of course with their larger slides, and they always impress me. I have started added them to any furniture in the house that i move for cleaning and such, like the couch, love seat, bedroom dressers, and the kitchen table.

These work extremely well for placing under the feet of pinball machines on carpet. Originally I was using the smaller 2 3/8" diameter Magic Sliders, and they worked OK, but they did sink into the carpeting to the degree that you have to push harder on the machine to get it out of the carpet "divits". The larger diameter 4" sliders sink into the carpeting less, making moving machines a breeze. They are more expensive than other sliders, but are heavier duty and bend less than others tried.The photo shows the larger and preferred 4" Magic Slider on the left, and the smaller 2 3/8" Magic Slider on the right.

They surprised me by how well they work. Our carpet installer even said that they use them.

The did not work too well for the intended purpose. The top side of the slider has a hard rubber/plastic which doesn't sufficiently "grip" the leg of fairly heavy furniture. The furniture keeps sliding off the slider. I purchased other slightly larger disks at a big box store with a softer rubber material on the top and they work fine. Based on my experience, I would not buy these again.

I have some pretty heavy pieces of furniture and nice hardwood floors with Persian rugs. Moving the furniture before these slides was problematic. Since I got these slides I lift the heavy furniture with the help of a block of wood and a crow bar, just a tad. I insert the slides under the legs one-by-one, and the furniture glides with ease. On hardwood, on Persian rugs, over the edge of the rug. Like it's on ice. (Well, almost like on ice.) The slides stay put under the furniture leg from the weight of the furniture only. Like magic.

Flimsy but worked

Wow these work great. I can move our queen sized bed over the rug by myself. It just glides.

From USA and arrived within 2 weeks.Easy to use and rubber pads on the top prevent the sliders from being dislodged.Slide easily over medium tufted carpet. Have not tried on vinyl or timber floors.Would recommend for any furniture with legs or pads.A larger slider would be useful for "soft" items e.g. mattresses.

Die Gummilippen vermeiden, dass ein Gegenstand sich auf den Gleitern verschiebt. Die Haltbarkeit kann ich natürlich noch nicht bewerten.

I have a large upright piano circa 1920s and one of the back wheels has locked up and scratches our hardwood floor everytime we move it. All I really needed was one of these and boy did that ever make a huge difference in moving this thing to another place in the room. I've left it in place and plan to use the other 3 when I have to move a massive dresser away from the wall so I can paint a bedroom. Don;'t even think twice about it - get a set of these if you have anything remotely heavy to move and save your back!!!! Hubby and I are over 65 and something like this keeps us from having to get younger family members to come help us out. The slick side goes down and the rubbery side goes up. They worked great!!!!
