This is the litter mat I’ve been looking for forever! Completely waterproof and has a lip all around the edge. If your cats are as dumb as mine, and occasionally stand in the litter box with their butts hanging over the edge of the box you need this. I can’t blame them, they have all 4 paws in the box, so as far as they’re concerned they’ve done the right thing. But now I don’t have to freak out because this is the first waterproof mat I’ve ever found that really is. Ive had others made of “waterproof” material, but without a raised lip urine easily rolls off the edge onto the floor. Oh, and the ridges are very great at trapping the pellet litter I use so less ends up at the other end of the hall. Since it’s silicone, it’s very soft and flexible, too, so cats don’t mind walking on it. Highly recommended!

I chose this mat over a similar one with more reviews because it has more ridges for catching litter, and no notch for urine to pour out of. I'm glad I chose it - the day I got it the cat peed over the edge of the letterbox and this mat kept all of the pee off the floor, and was easy to take outside and hose it down. I have since bought a top entry letterbox, but this mat is still sitting under it with a larger rug style mat under that.I would definitely recommend this mat if your cat tends to pee over the side of the box.

I love that it doesn’t slip and is waterproof. It’s also simple and attractive. I don’t love that litter gets trapped in the small grooves and even the vacuum has trouble getting it out. It was folded instead of rolled in the box, so it’s permanently warped and bows up in the front. I bought two to fit an exact spot, and both are an inch smaller in width than it says in the description, so my three litter boxes don’t fit on them side by side as they should. The goal was to be wide enough to catch pee in case the cats go over the edge, which they sometimes do!Follow-up a month and a half in: Not sure if it's the rubber smell or what, but my cats won't stop peeing on the mats, right in front of the litter boxes. It's impossible to clean up because the super narrow "litter catching" grooves trap it. Removing them and trying plastic boot trays instead, I guess.

I bought this because my older cat was having accidents outside the litter box. I liked the silicon mat I already had, but it was $40, so I tried this cheaper one. The only problem was the groove or ridges are small and hard to clean if your cat tinkles outside the box. On the flip side, the small grooves caught the litter really well.

- this was purchased to be used as a waterproof mat under the sink- material was adequately thick but the mat did not flatten out; the mat was awkwardly folded during its shipment which created permanent creases; you can try using a blow dryer to get the crease out but i have decided to return it

I actually bought this to use under my sink to protect the wood underneath and prevent mold. I bought a 2nd one because I liked it so much, and am using it under my dog’s bowl (she’s a big dog, and a very messy girl when she drinks) and couldn’t be happier as the standard dog mats are too small. A great product!

It does the job. I did have to flip it over to the smooth side for easy cleaning. It would be very difficult to clean litter out the ridges.

This product is great for keeping kitty litter from being tracked to far past the litter boxes.
