The Pro Book: Maximizing Competitive Performance for Pool Players

If you love pool and want to improve your game, you will value owning this book.

Pretty decent read so far. Definitely should have been 2 books as the 1st half is all about pool & the 2nd is about being an athlete. While I do consider pool a sport, it isn't exactly like training for a marathon (which this feels like in a quick skim read). If I had to describe it, this will make you a marathon runner (most likely), but for the rest of us it is a damn good read to become better Hash House Harrier runners that we will prolly ever be.Definite my 1st go to (so far) for drills, but "99 critical shots", "Banking with the Beard" are close. For more portable practice & fun with friends I recommend "Ultimate Pool Challenge" cards. Or be ready when the fins start circling you for Fins & giving you the 5 out.... ;)

If you are willing to put in the work this book will reward your effort! The book is a very useful tool to elevate your game to the next level and the next level and... you get the idea. the only draw back is after you master this book you are going to need to buy the Advanced Pro Book to continue improving.If you are serious about pool then this is the book for you.

this is the only pool book you will ever need, get information, buy the bob burns videos along with this book and your have to get better

The shots described in the book are somewhat interesting, but the guidance on the mental game is completely off base with no foundation. There are only a handful of Pro's in this game and I doubt any of them would benefit from this book. If the book is aimed at the non Pro, then there are much better options out there for improving your game (Capelle's practicing pool for example).

Book was in great quality, received in a timely manner!!!

Book had very little useful info and was not worth the money. It was a complete waste of money and time to read it.
