Gotham Steel Clear Tempered Glass Vented Square Lid, 9.5"

The product description indicates that the 12.5 inch top will fit a 12.5 inch pan. It does not. The photos show the outer most dimension to be 13 inches. Instead, the outer most edge is 12.5 inches. The inner rim should be 12.5 inches. Instead it's 11 and 5/8. I read many reviews and questions about this product. One person asked if the 12.5 inch top would fit a 12.5 inch scan pan. The answer was a resounding yes. Maybe there is a lot of variation in size and someone else received a top that did fit. The top I received does not fit my 12.5 inch scan pan. It is too small.

I purchased the 12.5 inch square lid. The description and the box say it's supposed to be square... It's NOT square! See the pictures I've attached. If you're looking for a pan to fit your 12 inch Red Copper frying pan this is NOT what you want! It's a nice lid, but sad that Amazon allows this false advertising.

I bought this lid because, 2 years ago, I bought a square pan from BB&B that didn’t come with a lid. It was a great pan, but not having a lid made certain situations messier than they needed to be. And I could never find a lid online that fit it until earlier this week when I stumbled upon this one.My pan is a square Graniterock blue Diamond pan about 12x12 inches. I figured this lid would be a little small, but better than the oversized round lid I was using. I just got the lid today and it fits perfectly, almost as if this lid was designed for this pan. This was the luckiest 2am Amazon purchase ever.

The lid itself is fine. Description is inaccurate. Picture shops lid at being 10 inches, the actual O.D. is 9.5 inches and the I.D. is around 9 inches. Seller, please take note and revise the description to reflect the actual size.

This is not a square cover. As you can see from the picture the corners are not cover at all. This cover's corners are around off and not suitable to use a cover for a 11" square grill pan.

I ordered this top for my All Clad fry pan which didn't come with a top and I was tired of not having a lid. Made certain the diameter of the inside of the lip of my pan and voila, it was like it was made for it. LOVE the vent in the top. Sturdy and will hope to last me for years to come. First time out it was like oh wow, look at how much heat and moisture I have been losing and how much oil escapes to my stovetop that this is stopping. Made caramelized onion in record time for me without burning.

Promised delivery in two weeks and it actually came in one week! Product as expected, very sturdy and easy to clean. I expect it to function as well as the other Gotham items I have bought.......A few days later and I received my pan (from a different facility). The lid and pan fit perfectly and hold enough to feed a family of four easily. Clean up is a breeze. Also not too heavy and I like the helper handle on the skillet. A very superior set!

Manufacturers never want to give u a lid for their fry pans, and Gotham steel is no exception, but ya always need a lid! It seems like their frypan was never intended for a lid as the top lip is rounded, I suppose so u can slide the food out easily. This glass lid fits well enough, it may chip the coating off the lip of the frypan eventually, but I don't care, it's good enough for me and I like these Gotham pans. Once you learn their quirks, they work just fine. I do recommend you season them from time to time it keeps that slippery coating slippery!

Looking for a lid for my 12.5inch (taking the measurement of the innermost circumference so inside the pot) pot but found this 12.5inch Gotham Steel lid was too small as they took the measurement of the whole lid, not where it would fit with the pot. It should fit an 11.5inch pot or pan. I've attached pics to aid in the confusion ;)As it needs to be returned from being too small, I cannot speak to it's durability but seems to be of decent quality.

Bought a new non stick pan and didn't realize I wanted a lid for steaming until I needed it. This lid fits my in-between sized pan perfectly. It has a sloped lip style edge so that it will fit any pan size within that size range. It is pretty and feels very sturdy. I find it ends up with streaks and water marks though after I wash and leave it to dry in the rackgreat product otherwise

I would have given this lid 5 stars if it would have been just a little bit larger. It should fit right up to the top rather than down into the pan. Otherwise - really nice lid and great value for dollar

The lid handles get very hot and you end up burning your hands. I recommend you use and hand towel to lift the lid. When washing them they don't rinse dry without leaving watermarks. Gotham Steel has been a disappoint. Don't waste your money

the quality of this lid is outstanding, on the product illustration it says the lid is 10" in diameter - it is not! the product title says 9 1/2 " - confusing!
