Dark Souls Trilogy (PS4)

I am obsessed with the Soulsborne + Soulslike genre and had to re-purchase my collection... I was genuinely shocked at how much of a bargain it really is to purchase this cheap Dark Souls Trilogy - it literally has ALL of the DLC's for each of the 3 games already on the discs!.. It is incredibly CHEAPER compared to purchasing each of the games separately AND buying the DLC content (regardless of whether you buy the GOTY Editions with DLC included OR download each DLC from the PS Store!). It really is an insane money-saver to purchase this trilogy!!! [Dark Souls I Remastered]. Not my favourite of the Dark Souls games; especially as the remaster is somewhat poorly done in comparison to the Demon's Souls Remaster (which is absolutely AMAZING!!! with completely new, updated textures and other fine details!) - to be honest, it is the first instalment of the ever-popular and revolutionary Dark Souls Trilogy, so I am not really complaining. (I just wish that I played this one first so I did not compare it to the others...). By what I can tell... it is extremely 'bright', which goes against what Souls games are about (aesthetically), so there is a divided opinion from the community about the intentions of this remake; although SOME of the textures are kind of 'better', it just loses a lot of credibility as 'remake' when it retains nearly all of the original, outdated, primal look & feel to it which remasters are generally perceived to enhance and bring the game into future gen consoles and reach a new audience... can't really say much more - it is a good game though. 4/10. [Dark Souls II]. One of my all-time favourites! It is the first Souls game that I played and instantly became hooked, nay, ADDICTED, to the whole hardcore, RPG, Soulsborne (then years later, Soulslike) genre/s... It is an exceptionally GOOD game, with an ever-increasing depth of mechanics and secrets to master and unveil... you can spend MANY hours, fully appreciating the beauty of this game and it's awe-inspiring environments - not to mention the unrelenting difficulty of each area which will ultimately lead you to research many elements and consort an online guide to understand what to do as there are no maps or any clear path in which you should take to progress this cryptic puzzle of an extreme, hardcore adventure! I absolutely adore this game! It has so much to do and will keep you occupied for months at a time with it's many features like NG+, PvP & Invasions/Being summoned for support during invasions of other members of certain Covenants that you can locate + join at will and/or boss fights. There is a wealth of exploration and different enemies + bosses to fight, with such a huge variation of differences between them, will keep you eagerly entertained and grant you heaps of satisfaction when finally, after many deaths and run-backs, you defeat an insanely challenging boss and a lot of the highly dangerous areas crawling with unique enemies + NPC questlines... The combat is PRECISE and keeps you on your toes - NO button-mashing, only calculated, well-timed inputs will suffice as you are locked by stamina and the need for expert skills in logical decisions... I can not stress how much you have to be precise with your inputs and timing + the exact part of each weapon's area of contact and exact time of impact during the input directly affects how much damage + [poise] stance-breaking is dealt (and registered). There is a plethora of weapon types and weapons, including magic, miracles + pyromancy, with a myriad of different attunable spells, miracles, pyros, etc.. that you can obtain and master, alongside different weapon attributes and upgrading - armour has different stats, some have special enhancements and 'weight' is a BIG aspect of each item as every weapon, shield, catalyst, staff, every helmet, torso, pants & wrist item you equip will influence how fast/slow your stamina regenerates and how fast/slow you can move and whether or not you can fast/fat (slow) roll (dodge), so you need to be mindful of each choice you make, usually sacrificing heavy, protective armour for lighter, more manageable armour to wield better weapons or move/dodge faster/farther... everything counts! (you can only equip max. 4 weapons/shields/staffs/catalysts...) The 2 DLC add-ons are REALLY good, fantastic gameplay, with added content, new areas, challenging foes + hard bosses, a must-play experience that you will not forget! Such an exceptional game! I HIGHLY recommend this!!! I could talk forever about how good this game is and it's many deep mechanics/elements, but that it all the fun of discovering them for yourself - it is an extremely unique game, like no other and should be experienced by everyone whom is a gamer! 10/10. [Dark Souls III]. Initially, I did not really like how different the combat (specifically) is in this game... it feels much 'faster' and hits 'differently' than Dark Souls II (it reminds me of how fast Bloodborne combat is compared to Dark Souls II as well - Bloodborne + Dark Souls III are very similar!) - but nevertheless, it grew on me and became 'the norm' after quite some playthrough time. That being said, the combat is still governed by perfectly-timed executions, just not as 'slow' and methodical as Dark Souls II (but still highly methodical if you know what I mean...). The lore and graphics are still VERY beautiful and immersive - well-executed and perfectly aligned with the atmosphere of the gamescape. You will miss a lot of secrets/items/elements without a guide (although there are plenty of messages, that provide invaluable hints, on the floor from other people when playing online) - the game features a lot of deep questlines that need to be completed in specific orders to unlock certain storylines and items. The DLC is far superior in terms of new areas, enemies, difficulty and lore! There are some incredible new weapons + armour sets and even new spells and miracles, etc... very, very good - a definite must-have when playing this game! The new areas are absolutely insane & beautiful! So artistic and well-designed. The DLC is an integral part of the main storyline and properly rounds-off the final endgame + nicely introduces you to the New Game+ mechanics. Without going into detail and spoiling the games, I highly recommend purchasing to experience them for yourself - honestly, DSII + DSIII are among my all-time FAVOURITE games, up there with Elden Ring + Elden Ring Nightreign... I encourage you to at least try them, they are so unique and different to most of the bs silly games out there - this introduces a whole new genre/gamestyle that keeps you coming back for more. An actual challenge, serious gameplay and deep mechanics & features that will entertain you and punish you unless you get good!

Such a great value for money 30 pounds for all 3 games plus all the dlcs? Thats a steal. Great games had lots of fun.

How can this series of games not be a 5 star for any gamer. Buy it, play it, die a lot, get better, kick it’s but.

My favourite game trilogy ever. If you are looking to get into souls games, this is easily where I'd recommend to start.

These are absolutely gorgeous boxes and the nicest set to buy and play the Dark Souls Trilogy, however I have to slightly mark down my score as Scholar of the First Sin's box was heavily cracked and damaged and the cardboard sleeve has some wear to it :( Otherwise a great collection and recommended 👍

I bought this for my son, who is an avid gamer. Great value set, graphics and gameplay. My Son enjoyed playing this. It arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. Recommended

Dopo aver finito Sekiro non potevo fare altro che provare i famosi Dark souls, e questa trilogia è il modo migliore per recuperare la saga. Spedito dal regno Unito, la scatola è in inglese essendo la versione inglese, ma i giochi sono in italiano, esattamente come comprarlo in italia. La confezione è semplice: Sono tre dischi separati, con tre custodie separate unite da un semplice cartonato. Questa trilogia contiene: Dark Souls Remastered Dark Souls II: Scholar of The First Sin Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Tutti i contenuti (dlc) aggiuntivi dei 3 giochi e le loro colonne sonore originali, quest'ultime scaricabili con un codice all'interno del primo Dark Souls. Ho iniziato naturalmente dal primo capitolo che si presenta fluido a 60fps fissi anche su ps4 normale. Rispetto a Sekiro presenta più elementi GDR, come le classi e i livelli che mi stanno tenendo letteralmente incollato al titolo. Oltre all'incredibile game design, difficoltà stimolante presenta un elemento unico: una storia silenziosa che non viene narrata. Potrebbe essere strano ma attraverso le ambientazioni, gli oggetti e le armi si può ricostruire un universo narrativo complesso e dannatamente affascinante. "Anche senza risposte bisogna comunque proseguire" questa è la frase chiave di Dark Souls, un'avventura che non ti prende per mano, ti lascia in balia degli eventi, proprio come nel mondo reale sei TU ad orientarti, percorrendo la strada giusta e facendo sbagli (spesso mortali) ogni volta ti rialzerai più forte con la voglia di andare avanti. Dopo circa 60 ore di gioco posso dire che si sta rivelando già il mio capitolo preferito. Consiglio a tutti l'acquisto a mani basse. Ah e ricordatevi di LODARE IL SOLE!

Het is gewoon een sleeve met de drie games. DUS NIET de steelbooks. Overigens zit er GEEN DLC bij, dus de beschrijving klopt voor geen meter. De code die je krijgt voor wat extra Souls werkt ook gewoon NIET.
