Low cost price might reflect in poor manufacturing tolerances, perhaps? Of the four devices I initially bought, one would not appear to work at all. On close inspection the reason was that the plastic contact surrounds at each end were prominent and prevented the pins on the light fitting from touching the lamp contacts. This - coupled with the much larger diameter of the LED array compared with a conventional halogen tube - made the lamp very awkward to locate in the existing wall fitting. Too much DIY fettling needed to call it a good product as a drop-in upgrade to old-style halogen R7S tubes. Too soon to comment on longevity.

Very bright and white. Only problem was they didn’t fit in my pit light. They fitted inside ok, but the connectors on either end are inside a plastic surround that stopped them connecting to the brass tabs inside the light, they have little round balls pressed into them. The brass balls were too big so didn’t contact the metal ends of the bulbs. I had to file down the plastic about 1mm to expose the metal ends. Perhaps they aren’t meant for my security lights, but the old halogens fitted fine. They need more metal and less plastic on the ends.

I bought these products to replace existing high wattage bulbs that were very hot and very inefficient so I may be unfair in saying that the brightness is low. I had read in other reviews that the brightness maybe lower than expected but I decided to try for myself.You get used to the lower brightness after time.It may be more noticeable because I was using too high wattage previously.I know from experience with led replacements that I won’t be replacing them for a long time so that is a real bonus.

Only 50% as bright as halogen equivalent. So it's a trade off on how much lighting your area needs. The running costs for these LED's should be much less.

Been in situ for 6 months & working fine. Brighter than previous LED strip bulbs but not as bright as the 110w halogen it replaced. OK for lighting small areas, eg side passages.

I have used different makes of these types of LED bulb; very few last any length of time.The lifespan of this bulb should be 30000 hours (6.8 years@ 12 hours per day).Put these in on 25/11/19, on 20/02/20 one of them had ceased to work.

Happy with these bulbs. They give a good tungsten-like white warm but definitely white (many warm LEDs are yellowish). Be careful about size. These are fatter than halogen equivalents. They fitted my lights so no issue for me but something to watch.

Used these as a straightforward replacement for the halogen bulbs in my exterior security lights. Very easy to fit though not as bright as the bulbs they replaced but good enough and provide a significant saving on power use.
