The metal is decent. You can open and close them around the braids several times before they bend. The issue I have is that the gold color only lasts for a couple of wearings then it tarnishes. If I were to purchase again from the brand I would only purchase the silver.

They worked with my crochet braids
This product was great. After wearing them for two weeks the color would start to fade so I would take them out and apply new ones. My grandmother suggested that I paint them with clear finger nail polish and the color would last longer. I ran out of jewels so I didn’t try it. They also come in a white box.
