desertcart.com: The Invisible Thread (The Unbreakable Thread Book 2) eBook : Suzanne, Lisa: Kindle Store Review: Can people change? - I'll admit, I really thought Ethan was a gigantic, immature ass in Mark and Reese's Destiny trilogy. He seemed like such a petulant, babyish manho and liked to stir up trouble wherever he could find it, dragging others down to with him. I wanted to continue my binge of the world of Vail and that meant reading this duet that featured my 'un- favorite manchild, Ethan Fuller. Nothing hurts worse than going back to those uncomfortable high school days when one person's hurtful words can color and effect how you think of yourself, especially someone you might have feelings for. This books takes you to the past, to the teen versions of Mark, Ethan (pre-Vail) and the beautiful, innocent girl that Ethan wants to know better but ends up pushing away with his cutting remarks. Then, back in the present time, A girl scorned becomes a woman reborn, emerging from the ashes of her broken heart, changing everything she was, becoming stronger, harder and hell bent on revenge. The young rising star, Ethan, now world renown drummer of the wildly popular band Vail, has never stopped thinking of the girl who vanished from his life so unexpectedly all those years ago, but he'll soon be caught up in her web of deceit, but he'll never see see her coming! Wow, what an awesome story! I flew through both books in this duet in one day, too hard to let their story rest. How could the annoying Ethan become someone I needed to discover and absorb every detail about? Why would I care if this guy finally finds the love he never thought he deserved to have? It's a huge tribute to the writing of Lisa Suzanne to turn my feelings around so completely that a character that I disliked in one instance became someone I was cheering for in these 2 books. Ethan had a jaded rockstar past but he surprised me often, grew and became a better version of himself. Didn't expect that. He found that invisible thread, a theme throughout, had connected him to a certain someone for most of his life..he just didn't know it at the time. There is nothing better than a HEA that is fought for so hard, overcoming difficult obstacles and emerging on the other side better, stronger and happier. I loved that ending, wrapped up with a beautiful bow. I hope there is more to Vail's story down the road, because I'm not quite ready to say goodbye just yet. More of these rockstars, Lisa, I can't get enough! Review: A catastrophic collision of truths and lies - While book 1 was about discovering or perhaps rediscovering a love of long ago, book 2 addresses the catastrophic collision of truths and lies. Ethan struggles are heartbreaking. Reading about his family struggles and seeing his heart shattered made for an emotional read. His self doubt and lack of self worth for what he feels he doesn't deserve had me rooting for his success in finding love and all that he deserves. But when Ethan falls on past habits I just wanted to shake some sense into him. Maci's internal struggle to continue on the path that she set in motion or to follow where her heart is leading had me ready to slap her more than once. For both Maci and Ethan, past choices come back to haunt them but I really enjoyed watching them evolve both as individuals and as a couple. One of my favorite quotes that holds true for not just this story, but life in general: "Life's too short and maybe we all just need to forgive and get over it." Ethan doesn't quite top Mark Ashton but he comes in a close second for me. Once again Lisa Suzanne has written a beautifully paced story of love and heartache with a HEA that also includes unexpected twists and turns along the way that keeps you turning the pages as fast as you can to see how it will all play out.

I pulled an all-nighter on this one
Book 2 in the Invisible Thread duet. When it comes to rock star romances, Lisa Suzanne is one of the top 2 authors, in my opinion. Her books never disappoint. This book is perfection. Book 2 finds Ethan and Maci trying to figure things out. He has confronted her and she hasn't given up the info he wants but then he realizes it's okay because he knows anyway. Ethan goes through such a transformation. His screwed up backstory makes him question everything about love and relationships. Maci...could she be the one? Maci, still hellbent on revenge, keeps digging her heels in. Their relationship is one of struggles as they stretch that invisible red thread to near breaking point. Once I started this book I couldn't stop reading. You want them to get that happy ending but it is a long time coming and so much pain is involved. There is so much emotion between these 2 characters and so much potential love. I can't praise Lisa Suzanne enough about this duet. VAIL rocks!

Sweet ending
A little like Destiny......It all started with revenge and then everything flipped upside down and all was forgiven. It's a story about forgiveness, hope and love.

A Thread Very Life-Like - 5 Stars ***** Throughout both parts of this story the telling was quite Gritty but then, exposed the underbelly of two Very flawed people. The ups, downs, challenges, were are depicted clearly, with the outcomes not always picture perfect. Good life-like telling of two very angst ridden individuals and there eventual coming together. Good Stuff!

Will Ethan and Maci be able to forgive each other for what happened in the past. Or will they be destined to be apart

Loved it. Another page turner that had me staying up at nights way past I should have. Like being transported right into the action with swirls of emotions. The angst and the sizzle combine to make it another terrific Duo.

Took me a while to get into the story but eventually managed it ...ups and downs but it's the standard love story over two books
