Up Shute Creek: Rose Gardner Investigations #4

I started reading after work yesterday and didn't put it down until 1:00 am this morning.I plan to read it again starting tonight it was so good!DGS you have out done yourself! I loved every minute of it! The characters, the emotions, the plot twists, all of it!And what an ending, I can't believe it! Just perfect.... now I will be waiting breathlessly for the next installment!Thank you again for sharing your stories with us!!!!!

I'll be the first to admit, this is not my normal read. I'm usually a sci-fi/fantasy reader. With that said, I cannot get enough Rose and Neely Kate! The characters have sucked me in and made the series (all of their series) such a wonderful journey. Character development is always right there with the plot. You get invested in these ladies and their men.One thing we've been waiting for finally comes to fruition between Rose and James. The author also leaves some openings for relationship growth between Rose and Joe, and it's all good! I love that Joe is finally letting himself heal from the past. I also love that NK tells Rose everything, it's been long awaited as well.I think Denise could write a million books about these two ladies, and I'd gobble them up. Rose's next installment, I can't wait for it. Looking forward to NK next summer as well.

DGS, you are an amazing author. I am such a huge fan and I love this series so much I hope it could go on forever but I know that is unrealistic. So I'm going to enjoy every minute of them and if it takes you a while to get another one out that's fine your health is more important.I am so team Skeeter and I love it that he told Rose those three little words finally. It sounds like the story line is going to get real complicated and I can't wait to read more. Keep up the good work.

As always Denise Grover Swank has out done herself again. This book is full of mystery and suspense with lots of moments that will give you a laugh. There were several moments that had me me holding my breathe. This is by far my favorite series ever written. So if you have never read one of Denise's books please do yourself a favor and pick one up. You will not regret it.

I don't know how Denise comes up with book after book of intrigue, danger and love but oh my, she's done it again. The more you read of these characters, the more you want more of them.I am hooked and June us a long ways away !!!

I love this series! Its one of those I can’t stop reading, your mind is racing trying to figure out which way it will end, but the characters always have a surprise twist. I did not see the end coming I was in total shock. This series is a must read you will fall in love with sister like characters of Rose and Neeley Kate everyone needs besties like these too. I have a love hate relationship with Joe and Mason. Dive into the crime world of Fenton County Arkansas these two girls find trouble at every corner but can count on each other and a few others. I cannot wait for more!

What can I say? These Rose Gardner books are my guilty pleasure. I fell for them with 28 1/2 and have been completed invested ever since. I adore these characters and enjoy reading about them. I think it’s fun and entertaining, and I’m glad I found them. If you’re into fun, entertaining female sleuths, then these books are for you, too.

Up Shute Creek by Denise Grover Swank was a fantastic book that exceeded my high expectations for it. I have been reading Rose Gardner books for over 6 years now and I am nowhere near tired of reading them. This book made me happy, sad, excited, angry, and every other emotion in between. I am a huge fan of Denise's writing and all of her different book series but Rose will always be my favorite series to read. I love the mystery and investigation in this book that kept me hooked all the way until the end.I am still team James and this book made me feel every feeling that Rose had in regards to their relationship. I am really looking forward to reading what will happen to their characters and relationship in the next Rose book. I never thought I would like Joe as much as I liked him in this book. I am happy with the way his story is going right now and I am excited to see what is next for him. At this point, I am indifferent to the newest character that was introduced but I am looking forward to seeing what more she will bring to the books. I hope we get to see some of the regular Rose Gardner Investigations characters in Neely Kate's book as well since it will help hold me over until the next Rose book comes out.

Absolutely fantastic I adore DGS books wonderful series . I would love to see rose Gardner mystery series made for tv, rose is one of my favourite characters in a book.I can't wait for next book have a total addition to rose Gardner mystery and investigations and Neeley Kate series.I recommend anyone to read these books, starting to read DGS other titles, so glad I have found DGS books, amazing author.Your books helped me smile again after sudden death of my Dad, I never picked up a book for over 2 years, then I saw rose book recommendation, Rose is an amazing character and reminds me of myself and to always have courage and never give up.DGS thank you personally from my heart, you have helped me more than you could ever know, I'm so grateful to you. ❤️🙏

Another amazing addition to the Rose Gardner seriesI absolutely love DGS novels. Her writing style, her character development, the twists and turns. As soon as I pick them up, I know I’m going to be hooked until the very end and this book was no different.I’ve followed the series from the beginning and have not one been bored by the story. As soon as I finish one, I crave the next.Rose is such a strong, funny and likeable main character and all the side characters bring something to the story. I adore Neely Kate and Jed but my favourite has to be James Malcolm. I love his connection with Rose and am rooting for them each time they face a hurdle.I have recommended these novels and have gifted them to family who as as addicted as I am and that will be the case with this one aswell.

I've loved the Rose Gardner books since the beginning and they just keep on getting better.The usual cast of characters are present in this book where Rose and Neeley Kate take on another investigation,this time the case is a missing girl.They have a large suspect list and a host of connections to the local criminal underworld to wade through looking for answers.The complications of their personal lives ,including Skeeter,Joe and Mason plus Rose and her lady in black role lead them into ever greater danger.These wonderful characters have all grown and developed throughout the series and the reader cares about them all which is the essence of great story telling.Add in a a dying Violet,a new character who has her own reasons for hiding out with the girls,a corrupt police force,deadly danger and a killer ending and you have a great book.Enjoy.

Denise Grover Swank oozes love and compassion to her family, her children, her dogs and her readers. When you read one of her books you soon become engrossed and for me personally when I read I am soon part of that story, feeling the emotions, good or bad, being sh*t scared in the scary bits and laughing till I cry at the funny bits. Again, with this book I was there every step of the way, a gripping 'page turner'. Cannot wait for the next book. I know I am not alone in wanting more from the writer, but realise I have to wait and believe me it will be well worth the wait. After every book I read of DGS I think this lady is amazing because she just gets better and better. Well done Denise - the world is missing out on your talent - why haven't they made a film/mini series out of your books yet? NB to Denise Love from one of your Top Fans xx

This takes me back to Rose in the beginning like it was the first part of the story.. I thoroughly enjoyed this and look forward to see the next part of Roses journey..**spoiler if you continue & havnt read the seriesI adore James... he reminds me of the Joe McCallister we knew in the beginning and although that Joe is coming back it makes me fall more in love with James
