Speak 410 Uc Speakerphone for Pc

I purchased this for home after using one with the Microsoft Lync Client at work. As far as Lync is concerned, this is the best certified speakerphone I've tested and it replaced my Polycom CX100. Conference participants cannot tell I'm on "speakerphone". The mic is of a high enough quality to support High Definition Voice calling and it ships with standalone drivers (some Lync certified devices require that the Lync client is installed in order to function, this one works without Lync). In fairness, though it sounds better than my laptop speakers, I don't recommend it for music. It is very forgiving of positioning. My previous speakerphone worked only at a 45 degree angle and would echo horribly if something was placed near the mic. I can set the Jabra into any available space on my desk and it works well. It has hang-up/answer, mute and volume touch-points and provides visual feedback as to mute state. The mute state synchronizes with the software mute in the Lync client, preventing the "why aren't I unmuted!" problem. It performs well in smaller conference rooms (with seating for about 6-8 people), and well even in average conference rooms (12-18 people). The limitation on larger conference rooms is not due to the device being quiet (it's impressively loud for a speakerphone at its maximum volume setting), but rather the inability of the mic to pick up participants sitting far away. It includes a headphone jack, which comes in handy if you require a privacy. Plugging in headphones does not affect the built in microphone, so it will continue to pick up speech from folks nearby.

I work from home and I was using a headset previously but I didn't like having headphones on during meetings. It's especially annoying during summer months, where a bulky headset can head your ears up. So, I opted for this speakerphone and I love it. It accentuates midrange a bit which is really nice for spoken word, as it makes voices sound really clear. It's louder than I have ever needed it to be and I could see it working pretty well even in a small conference room. I've had a few people crowd around my desk for conference calls before and it works well in a group situation. Having a visual indicator of your muted status and a physical control to mute is really nice. Just for fun, I have tried running music through it and due to the aforementioned midrange bump it sounds pretty terrible; but for the same reason, it's nice if you're listening to podcasts. My only real criticism is: the USB cable is real short. You will probably need an extension if you are running a desktop under your desk. And in a conference room you would 100% need an extension unless you have a laptop that is powering it sitting on your desk. But, that's a pretty minor complaint and I think they partially didn't want to have a ton of cable bulking up the device as it's meant to be able to be used on the go.

I have now bought and used a Logitech 710, Jabra 410, and two Jabra 510 speakerphones. Until Covid-19 forced work from home, I used a speakerphone nearly every day and bought spare for coworkers to use. Our use case is for bringing in remote speakers for meetings and some remote students in a class. I haven't noticed a microphone, sound quality, or sound volume difference between any of these devices. The 510 and 710 are about the same price and include a battery and bluetooth. The is lighter since it doesn't have a battery and is much cheaper at about 2/3 the price. We end doing a USB connection so the 410 is fine. The Logitech has a key "shortcoming" - USB cord is about 8" shorter than the Jabra 410 and 510. My university has a standard smart podium and the extra cord is needed to place the speakerphone on the desk. The Logitech just doesn't reach so I can't use it in most situations. The microphone works really well for capturing audio around the room. A high quality headset is even better but this works really well to be unencumbered or for a small group of people. Would be nice to see an update with multiple microphones for even better speaker pickup and noise reduction but this is a very robust, time tested product that just works.

I work from home and had connectivity and clarity issues with several types of bluetooth speakers and headsets/headphones. So, I researched inexpensive/high quality speaker phones and this one kept coming up. I am super happy with this! It works very well with Teams calling, and there is no echo. Super clear sound and compact in size. I'm sorry I waited so long to buy it!

Works great for our regular team meetings via Google Hangouts. Audio quality on both ends, including echo cancellation and the like, is top-notch, and is comparable to our expensive Polycom phones. I only deduct one star for little annoyances, like the cord length (we had to use a USB extension cord to get it to the center of the conference table) and the volume (it's loud, but could be a *little* louder)

There's no need to pay for a high cost enterprise grade speakerphone if you can get this Jabra speakerphone for a fraction of cost. Just plug in your computer USB port and it does the rest. It's that simple. The built-in directional microphones are highly sensitive and can pickup any voice within a large conference room. The active noise cancellation feature also works great to filter out the surrounding white noise for a crisp voice sound during the conference call. After using it for a few months, I bought 2 more for work.

Great for solo or when others join you in a meeting where you do not have standard conference equip available. No more huddling around the laptop speaker. Good sound quality and no reports of being tinny on the other end.
