Absolutely perfect!
I got this cable for my Sennheiser HD598 CS. The first cable I received had the audio only worked on my left side and couldn't get the right side to work. I fiddled with the plug into the headphones and couldn't get it to work. The seller sent me a 2nd cable and it works perfectly. The cable is really nice and the buttons work. Sound quality is same as the original cable that came with Sennheiser's.

Works with Xbox and Bose
This is great, works with xbox one x and my bose head set. The wire that came with Bose doesn't work with the mic, so this inline mic is needed for audio input into the controller. Yes, it took me forever to figure it out too, which is why I'm posting.

Microphone does not work
When entering a call the audio immediately stops and goes to the phone's speaker. Would not recommend at all, the only reason I bought this was to have a mic on my Sennheiser headphones.

Flimsy - Broke After 3 Months
I've been using this with my Bose Soundlink headset for the past 3 months. In this time the top of the cord has become separated from the mic/volume control module. Additionally, for my specific headphones, the 12mm side is a bit too large in diameter to fully seat in the headphones.Side note: if you plan to use Bose Soundlinks with an inline mic for gaming (as I do) you will need a splitter to plug into the mic in and line out port on of your system. This is a limitation of windows recognizing Soundlinks as Headphones (no mic) rather than a Headset (has mic). This is not a limitation of the AUX cord.
