Maxone 160GB External Hard Drive Upgrade 2.5'' Portable HDD USB 3.0 for PC, Laptop, Mac, Chromebook, Smart TV - Yellow

I am constantly at a loss for space. The Maxone 160GB Portable External Hard Drive at least solves my digital space problems (its size even helps with my lack of physical storage space, too).As a researcher, I am always saving images and pdfs that require space. As a parent, I am constantly taking large numbers of pictures to catch every moment of their lives. Whether occupationally or privately, this hard drive does the trick.First, it arrived protected and as a new product ought. I could already tell that it was going to work well for me because of its size. it is a compact, but solid, piece of hardware. It fits easily in small pockets of my satchel or computer bag. Its hard outer case protects it from the random bumps of everyday life (especially travel in a bus to work). Thus, its size and protective case make it quite convenient.Prior to this purchase I had tried a couple other options. My old hard drive no longer had the memory needed and, like some cheaply made ones, didn't always connect or, worse, save correctly. However, with the Maxone 160 GB, I haven't yet had a problem with a computer reading it or getting my data from it.

I bought this for my wife's pictures and backup for her laptop. She takes regular pictures and some videos. She doesn't collect movies or songs because its stored on her itunes/icloud account. 160gb is more than enough for simple picture/video/files (documents- school). just in case she breaks her laptop or phone. she has everything backed up just in case. the file transfer speed is very good. It did not take that long. I like the light that turns on when it is transferring files.The feel of the plastic is not cheap but it can be stronger. I dont feel confident in the external hard drive if i drop it on the floor. Not sure if it will take a fall without a crack or being broken.

I bought it as external storage for my wii u. It formatted with no problem and works amazing. First of all the only thing I didn't like is it comes with 297gb of usable space. Why advertise 320 if you only get less than 300. Why does it take 23gb of space to run the drive? But back to the drive. Just make sure you get a y cable from here for $6. Nintendo will tell you you need a hard drive with an external power source its not true just get a y cable to double the power it can draw from the console. 5 stars all the waymy review is for the one of the picture i attached I LOVED IT when they sold the rounded corner one with flowers these square blue ones do NOT work with the wii neither do any of their other hard drives, I have tried 4 now. If you need a hard drive for your wii look for the maxone light blue one with the flowers. Looks a bit cheesy but it works.

I've been using this drive for years on my Xbox 360 to store games until my collection exceeded the storage capacity. My Nvidia Shield TV says the drive is "Too Slow" to store games and apps on it, so I've been using it as media file storage. This cheap drive is lightweight, very portable, can store much of your media needs, and is very durable; having survived many falls. Decent storage for the money.

This drive is a nice little storage solution for small jobs. I used it to store quite a few recipes and cooking ebooks for a family member as part of a gift. It's data capacity is a little on the small side, and would be gobbled up pretty quickly by high-def video files, but it was more than sufficient for numerous text and PDF files, which tend to run smaller. I liked that it supports both USB 2.0 and 3.0 protocols and mounts and writes quickly. Its plastic case appears durable enough to survive a fall or two, a common occurrence for drives such as this and the red plastic casing makes it easy to find on a paper-piled desktop. It's pricing is also appealing as long as you remember it's not as voluminous as today's multi-terabyte external offerings.

When it came I was incredibly unsure and afraid it would be flimsy and it WOULDN’T have the said capacity, but it DID thankfully. I hooked it up to my Wii U and it works like a charm, it starts up with the system and the storage space is indeed as stated. It’s nice and heavy which makes me trust it. A good present for storing photos and videos too!

Got two of these on Prime Day thinking to return them when they don't handle the 7-12 Gb files I need to transfer..At unboxing I got even more suspicious when I found the USB connection was MINI, not MICRO/USB3, also finding the drive formatted to FAT32.Sure enough tho Windows was able to quick-format it to NTFS, and the first 7 Gb file transferred at 11 Mb/s through a Mini connector! (USB 3.0 hub).As it filled a little bit, the data rate dropped to 8-ish but perfectly serviceable, given I was expecting USB2 speeds.Edit.. 11 Mb/sec through a Windows network. Attached to a local SSD, it writes at an astonishing 50 Mb/s!Great bang for the buck so far.

Ayant acheté un PC portable avec un disque dur à faible capacité,j'ai eu besoin de l'augmenter.Ce petit disque dur à assez de réserve pour y mettre beaucoup d'images gourmandes en mémoire.Ce petit disque dur peut contenir jusqu'à 160GB,ce qui est très correct en rapport avec son prix.Il se branche très simplement avec une prise USB et est très silencieux,une toute petite lumière clignote lors chargement rapide d'un fichier d'une image.Malgré,son Made in China,j'ai aucun souci avec cet article.Donc,je le recommande aux éventuelles personne intéressées par cet achat.

j'ai achete ce disque pour regarder des films , malheureusement il n'est pas reconnu sur toutes les tv.
