FINNSKA Black Licorice Ripples, 7.7-Pound Tubs

Read a few bad reviews saying "stale or mushy." I consider myself somewhat of a licorice connoisseur. I loved "good" black licorice for decades. So I know good black licorice when I taste it. I've had Australian, Italian, German, and Dutch. My favorite is Dutch hands down. There are usually only 3 ingredients and they are all natural. When the label says: "Made with sugar, molasses and licorice extract." Buy it. The textures may differ a bit, but the taste is top notch. This is real old fashioned licorice at a great price. I also have acid reflux. This is just one health benefit of real black licorice. My huge bag was very fresh, soft, without being sticky. I'm back in Heaven once again for as long as it takes to eat 7.7 lbs of it. Mmmmmm.

If your a fan of black licorice, this is the one for you. Fresh, soft, and full of flavor. This candy will have you chewing in delight with every bite. Highly recommend.

In the past the amount was a much better deal than this last order. The flavor is OK but has changed since previous order.

If you like black licorice get this. It is not the cheap, oily or plastic like stuff you find in other licorice. I love the texture it is not the soft almost putty texture that some of the “soft” licorice’s have. It is a medium firmness (slightly on the softer side) that is very moist without being sticky. Nice rich flavor without the odd bitterness that some jelly beans have.

This is delicious black licorice wow. Its expensive and it doesn't look like 7lbs but I weighed it and yes it is 7lbs. Will I buy it again maybe if its on sale.

This is embarrassing to say but I have been known to consume more than a 1~lb. of good licorice in less than a days time. Not something I or any doctor would ever recommend but wanted to paint picture as to my palate for black licorice. I find this licorice not to firm nor to soft, I prefer a little chew when consuming my favorite candy. I like that the ingredients are natural and without any dye. I am a big fan of the Panda brand black licorice but there prices are to high for my budgeting comfort zone. My only complaint/recommendation would be a quality resealable bag for storing. Bottom line, my humble opinion this is a good product at a good price, I recommend 100% !

This licorice is decent, but it tastes pretty much the same as what I have purchased locally. I still prefer the Australian licorice by Darrell Lea for more than this.

I love a good, strong licorice and this absolutely did not disappoint. A few reviewers have gotten bags that were either old and/or the seal let them dry out, but mine were fresh, soft, and oh, so good! I was a little hesitant to order 7.7 pounds, but I'm glad I did.
