Great pump, quiet and I'll tell you how it works
The pump is larger than I expected only because I didn't read the dimensions on the product page, and I needed it regardless of its size. I made the assumption from the first picture on Amazon that it was a little larger than a soda can but it's closer to a 12 pack. My pump is mounted in a separate pump room so I wouldn't hear it, but it has large rubber feed and is pretty quiet and probably wouldn't be heard if mounted under your sink.We live on an island in the Caribbean and collect drinking water from our roof during the rain. My concern was the salt air and what that, and other airborne contaminates, could do to my drinking water over time. I already have a good filtration system for my house, but I needed something to reduce the TDS, so an RO system seemed to be the solution. 3-way TDS meter should arrive today. I needed this pump to keep my house water pressure low to reduce my usage volume. I send the RO wastewater to a barrel and pump it out to my plants via a drip system. This pump does NOT increase the pressure to your RO faucet. There seems to be some confusion in the Q&A. It does increase the speed that the RO system delivers filtered water to you because of the higher pressure to the RO element. Here's how the RO pump works on my system. I have a cistern, not a public water source, with a house pump that turns on at 30 PSI and off at 50 PSI. When the RO pump is off, the RO pump pressure gauge matches my pressure gauge on my house pump, which is the same inlet pressure to my RO systems first 3 filters. As I use regular water in my house both gauges move down because pressure is decreasing. You do not need a check valve on your feed water inlet when using this RO pump. Before my pump arrived, I called the Express water support and asked the question. I was told the RO element contains a check valve and I have verified this by disconnecting the inlet water and the RO tank pressure stays constant. I also asked them what the pressure to the RO faucet was off of the RO system and pump but sadly received the broken record answer of the tank being preset to 6-10 PSI, no matter how I asked the question. I gave up because I knew I'd figure that out once the pump arrived. The RO pump monitors the pressure of the RO pressure tank. What I found once I connected the RO pump is that its cut in PSI (RO pump turns on) is around 15 and cut out is around 36 PSI. So, the pressure to my RO faucet is 36 PSI max. As I use RO water, the pressure drops and around 15 PSI the RO pump turns on. Pressure will still decrease on your RO faucet because the system is not designed to filter water that quickly. It does finish the RO cycle much faster than without the pump, so your recovery time is much shorter if you use a lot of RO water. If you're considering purchasing an additional RO pressure tank because your system cannot meet the RO demands of your household, I'd strongly recommend purchasing this RO pump as a better solution. Even though a second pressure tank would double your capacity, you have a higher chance of the water becoming stagnant in the system, or in one tank or the other as the internal bladders wear out.

Broke after 1 month.
This pump stopped working properly after 1 month. Pressure switch stuck on. Factory seems to be set at 25 psi. Woke up one day and the pump was making a weird noise. Looked at the pressure switch in front of the unit and it's pegged at 125psi. The tank pressure was above 55 psi. I immediately unplugged it and opened the RO faucet to get the pressure down. Hopefully this pump didn't damage anything. Nice pump but the use of crappy parts make it a possible hazard. Imagine it failed while on vacation, due to high pressures, something burst and you come home to a flooded house. I emailed the company a week ago, no response. Instead of returning the pump and getting another crappy unit, I replaced the high pressure switch with a high quality unit and it's been working as it should. Photo shows internals with the new switch. The other photo is of the old switch.

R/O Pump
This pump is everything it is claimed to be. I think it is the best choice for the application due to the ability to adjust the pressure if required for optimal R/O performance. It is a bit larger than cheaper options. Installation was straightforward although some 1/4” tubing was necessary.

This pump is so much larger that the pics make it look,
This pump is so much larger that the pics make it look, Just know it will need a sturdy shelf to sit on. It will only increase the water flow at the working slightly , I was hoping for more. The benefit is that the increase water pressure is supposed to improve the filtering process, or so they say in the instructions. I like this filter system as the water in my area is supper bad, the filtered water freezes ne’e Crystal clear.

It had some problems after using a while.
I bought one of these back in Oct '24. I purchased this particular one because it as a complete unit in a case without the hassle of having to mount a pump, pressure sensors and tubing under my sink. It was a device that I could plug three water lines into and then plug into the wall without the hassle of finding a place to put the individual components and protect them from the wayward toss of a sprayer of soft scrub under the sink. Other options all included finding places for each component somewhere under my sink; not a great place to work.It worked fine, maintained around 30 pounds of pressure and did increase the production of filtered water. However, it was disappointing since articles say that 80 pounds of pressure is better, and I couldn't get that out of the pump. Then, it started leaking from the pump head. We noticed it before any permanent damage was done and put the pump in a 9x13 roasting pan while I figured out what to do. I don't trust warranties on devices like this much because a replacement motor would not be any better than the motor that was in it already. Plus, the device is actually controlled by a high pressure switch that was obviously having problems getting over 25 pounds. That plus having to pay for return shipping, the wait, and the inconvenience led me to another solution. I replaced the motor, and high pressure switch with parts purchased here on amazon. The pressure adjustment original to the device is on the back and did nothing because it was already set for the maximum when I got it. Turning it only lowered the volume, not the pressure. So, now I have a nice pump with a pressure gauge on the front that actually gets up to 80 pounds of pressure, shuts off appropriately, and doesn't leak. It works much better than the original device before being modified out of necessity. Why did I repair this thing? Why did I go to the expense, research, and wait time for parts to arrive? Well, as I stated, it has three lines into a nice looking case: water in, water out and a tank pressure line. Then, it has a single plug without the annoying power brick you have to find someplace to keep. The packaging of the individual items involved was well done, the problem was the supplier's choice of internal parts. The low pressure switch was fine, the high pressure switch was too low, the motor head sucked and leaked, the pressure gauge was great. There was enough there to make it, to me, worth repairing. Of course, your opinion may vary.
