No need to put a metal plate or ring on the back of phone or cover!
I really did not want a metal plate or metal ring stuck to my phone or phone cover and this charger has what they call a nano pad which upon pressing my phone against just seems to stick and is really grippy in a good way. But be careful as mentioned in the product description you can't use any case. It has to be flat as it may not stick properly. I used my first case which did not hold because it had tiny grooves. But it's okay as I intend to buy a clear case for my note 9 which I'm sure will hold. My note 9 on its own holds perfectly well. The only thing is I'm worried that the sticky feeling of the nano pad may go but I cannot comment on that as I haven't had the product for that long. So far though even with bits of dust on the nano pad my phone does not drop off. The best bit I like is that I don't have to have the whole charger on display all of the time. As it's got a magnetic base I just lift it off the 'stick on brushed steel looking mini plate' and can put the whole charger away. The plate the sticks on to the dash I don't mind it and actually looks okay to me.The magnetic base of the charger really clings on to the base so I don't feel the charge will fall off.The charger itself is metal and well made really.Seems to charge well so far too.The only thing I'm concerned about is the pad losing grip in the long run but I think as long as I keep it clean I'll be fine. I'm looking forward to having a see through case without the need for a metal plate or metal ring showing, as a lot of other magnetic chargers need.

Excellent Small fast charger
Fast charges phone, don't need any magnetic sticker on the back of your phone or case, and very discreet. Excellent Built Quality and doesn't feel cheap. no idea how they get the suction to work! only downside is it doesn't hold my phone as well as a magnetic one, to get around this you need a bare back phone or clear case, and to push your phone on the suction pad quite firmly. then is doesn't move

Pretty good!
Pretty good! I didn’t want anything on the back of my phone, No magnets etc as I use a clear case.It will fall off every now and then but for the price and It stays on 90pc of the time, can’t argue with that!

Easy to fit & use, but slow to charge
Very small and unobtrusive. Very easy to install and use. Not the most powerful of chargers but incredibly convenient on my dashboard.

Great charger and holder
Great product holds my iphone x no problem and the magnet that holds the base is very strong, and it changes my phone very fast. No problems with this product would recomend

Useless as a phone holder
Doesn’t hold the weight of an iPhone 8. Shame because charger works well and the surface mount is good. But useless as a phone holder. Only way this can work is lying phone on charger horizontally which kind of defeats the object!
