NOT water resistant or waterproof. Not even close.
We had just purchased new patio chairs with new cushions and wanted something that would be waterproof and keep the sun off. Stored indoors all winter we put two chairs out on our deck this Spring. These covers are NOT waterproof or even water resistant. All four cushions on both chairs are ruined from a couple of days of rain. This wasn’t a wind-driven rain that got underneath the covers; the cushions are soaked right where the covers touched. Worthless, except might keep sun damage from happening but I wouldn’t even be sure of that now.I admit surprise because they seem well constructed and have what appears to be a rubber backing inside. Had it happened to one chair, I’d think it was an anomaly but both chairs ruined (the cushions will dry out but all the colors ran - that’s how soaked they are. Very disappointed. If you keep your chairs inside, these might be okay but don’t believe their claims of waterproof or water resistance.
