This worked great to allow me to rebuild a lamp to have a custom length cord with much improved aesthetics. Fits standard lamp threaded posts but, as always with these nicer cords and posts, the cord is a very tight fit in the post and you need to be capable of some challenging assembly gymnastics to get it together.Very pleased with the end product though as I replaced a defective cord that was not the ideal length with a new, decorative and cloth sleeved cord (cut from a decorative extension cord) that I custom cut to the perfect length.

Was able to use these to fix two lamps that are older than my adult children, who also now have children. How the ceramic lamps haven't broken from Hong Kong to Guam to California, to Across the US, to DC. I'll never know! Now with these, the one that 'died' is shining anew and the other got an upgrade! Well made product, very reasonably priced.

Easy to install. Made in China and felt a flimsy, although it's not like you're constantly tugging on the switch. Seemed secure enough for the purpose. I was replacing 3-way switches that are a pain to find the correct replacement bulbs.

I used this product to replace a 50 year old drop light socket made of brass. To say the least, it was done as the light is on 24/7/365. The socket comes apart easily. Prep the proper size wire, wrap it onto each post, tighten each screw, reassemble and you are finished with the installation. Works well for me.

We have 2 touch-activated lamps in my daughter’s room that my wife bought from Pottery Barn. You are supposed to be able to touch the stand of the lamp to turn it on, but that has ceased to function after a year or so. She still loves the look, so I ordered these and replaced the ones on the lamp. Now they can be turned on and used to provide light, without any change to the aesthetic. These matched perfectly, and made my wife and daughter very happy.

Helped me fix two lamps broken for many years. Caveat: The sizes aren't universal so I had to combine a new bottom with an old top to accommodate a resting lamp shade.

I prefer push button vs chain on my lamps. Love these.
