The Richest Man In Babylon Review: A FUN READ with basic tips about personal finance - I recently heard a radio host recommend this short book as a must read about personal finance and how to handle money. To be honest, I've never heard of The Richest Man in Babylon and was totally shocked to discover it has sold over 4 million copies! In a nutshell, this short book contains parables set in Babylonian times. Some of the language is dated and a bit clumsey to read in modern times, but it makes for an interesting read. Rather than just telling the reader to live on less than you earn and save 10% from your income for retirement, the book tells the tale of someone in ancient Babylonian times who struggled from paycheck to paycheck and sought the advice of the richest man in Babylon. The rich man goes on to share "secrets" to his financial success, which are basic, well-proven tactics for building personal wealth (eg, work hard, save for retirement, carefully invest your money after seeking the advice of wise men, never invest in a business you are unfamiliar with, etc.). I strongly recommend this book for teenagers and young adults, but it is also helpful for anyone desiring basic knowledge on how to save and build personal wealth. For more advanced readers, I'd strongly recommend The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley, Ph.D. or The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. 👍👍 Review: Timeless Wealth Lessons That Still Work Today - This little book holds more financial wisdom than shelves full of modern advice. Written as simple parables set in ancient Babylon, it teaches principles of saving, investing, and building wealth that are as true today as they were thousands of years ago. The language is straightforward, the stories are memorable, and the lessons stick. I finished it in one sitting, but the ideas will guide me for a lifetime. If you want a book that can truly change the way you think about money, and actually help you build it -this is it.

Interesting book if you are into personal finance.
This is one of the classic books about personal finance. In fact, this is one of the most-have books about the topic. Really easy to read. It is basically a story with lots of personal finance tips and teachings, rather than an academic book or more complicated concepts with graphs and numbers. This book also has no age, I would say. If you want to introduce kids and young adults to personal finances, this is the book to get.

Life changing if you allow it to be
Books like this are short, and easy to miss the points made. We read them and understand them through a simple lens of logic. As a child my father had me read this and while I enjoyed it, I had little context to understand it. Now more than 30 years later I just finished it again. After working for most of my life now struggling to make my way this book has helped me look at myself retrospectively and I can see the holes that exist in my thinking. So the question arises, will I patch them and change my ways? Or will I simply say, "That was a good book" or "basic information" and move on? Yes the truths in this book are simple. But truth is meant to be simple. It's the application of truth that is difficult but worthwhile. This book is going to change my future, because I am going to let it and use what is in it to do so.

It would be a good basic economics book. But its written in some old english, its frustrating and there is no sense in giving this old version. Very very basic economic knowledge. So this is good book for kids

One of the best books about finances in the market. Easy to read as long as you can get around the parables. Well written if you can ignore the grammar. The message is classics. Pay yourself first.
