Surprisingly impressed with this saw
Really smooth and nice cuts. Was able to rip cut even a small 1/8" piece off the end of a 2x4. Nice weight and balance. Used for both hard and soft woods (Cedar and Walnut) and both cut really well. Definitely get it! It's worth it if you like/prefer using hand tools.

Perfect for small home projects
This thing is the bomb for a single momI had some bar stools that were too tall for my home and I was having trouble cutting the legs short with a regular saw that came in a tool box. This thing cut thru wood clean and quickTotally recommend for small home projects

Good blade. Junk handle.
Always wondered why the original design of a straight handle extending beyond the blade of a Japanese saw was maintained for the most part all this time; that the angled handle started appearing on newer variations of this pull saw design. For myself I found that the straight handle allowed me to exert more leverage and maintain a straighter cut. The angled handle on this version minimized my leverage and appeared to allow my blade to wander. Also, the butt of the handle was advertised as a combination hammer and nail puller. Neither of these features worked well enough for me to forgo my regular hammer. First, the handle is made of lightweight plastic. One would expect that for the hammer feature to work, there would have been added weight, like in a regular hammer. Except to tiny nails there's little heft to this. My wife's pink small head crafts hammer has more weight. The nail puller is not efficient or rugged enough to pull anything except again small nails. I still like the blade, as I fashioned a replacement wooden straight handle which now works for me. Not a total loss; I adapted. But the price point of this saw probably could have afforded me a regular straight handle saw and a box store hammer.

good for fine carpentry
The offset blade provides a good angle for cutting on either the long or the short saw edge. Handle feels solid in your hand. the blade does wiggle slightly in the handle but it's not a problem. This will saw better then my coping saw which I have always used in the past.

Superb saw
I received my saw today and used it to trim some hardwood dowels that used to replace rusted screws. The saw is fantastic sharp and there was no difficulty in cutting the dowels flush with top board. My next project involves making tool boxes with dove tail joints and will enjoy using my Roamwild saw to make the dovetails.

Blade keeps coming out of handle
The blade will not stay in the handle and constantly has to be reassembled.

Made in Japan!!! Not China.
I really like this saw. Very sharp blades. This is a multi pull saw. I haven't used it yet, but it will work very well for my purposes. I needed a saw to trim shelf boards and this will do the job!!

Works as advertised
Cuts very smoothly, and easy to use, although the grip when flipping it upside down to use the ultra-fine teeth takes some getting used to. I have other ways to drive or pull nails, so I haven't used the hammer/nail puller on the end of the handle. This saw is a sold at a good price.
