I recently purchased the Giro Shields for my Vanquish helmet, and I am incredibly impressed with the quality and functionality of these shields. They unquestionably deserve a 5-star rating for the enhanced performance and comfort they provide.First and foremost, the clarity of vision through these shields is outstanding. Whether I'm cycling in bright sunlight or overcast conditions, the shields offer excellent visibility and reduce glare effectively. The optical quality is top-notch, providing a clear, distortion-free view of the road ahead.The shields are incredibly easy to install, fitting perfectly onto my Vanquish helmet. The design is thoughtful, ensuring a secure and snug fit without compromising on ventilation. Speaking of ventilation, I appreciate how well-ventilated these shields are. Exactly the correct replacement lens i needed.

Replaced a damaged Vanquish shield. Works as expected.

This is the second set of shields that I buy. They last 3-4 years and then the shield starts chipping off or it breaks in the middle. One big complaint is that you are buying $70 goggles that don’t have a case; even if you buy $40 sunglasses you’ll get some sort of case to protect and carry them in.

You can wear the shield over prescription glasses. Other than Rudy Project, I am not aware of any brand that provides prescription cycling glasses. Rudy Project's glasses however cost about $1,000; so compared that, this looks a cheap and functioning alternative.

Fogged a little in higher humidity and cool air but cleared quickly while riding. Visor ventilation is very good. This clear visor is great for night riding. I used this Vivid Vanquish visor on a 44 mile evening to night ride tonight. Lighting started bright then dimmed quickly to complete darkness. I use the Lumina 700 and my buddy had a bright light as well. Visor was surprisingly clear. So much, I liked my night vision with the visor on rather than naked eyes. The visor seemed to enhance the clarity in my line of sight. I was very surprised how clear it was at night. Has a lightly coated tint, I wouldn’t even call it a tint, but had no adverse effect on night vision. Yes I think this is suitable for night riding.
