Viviscal Extra Strength Hair Nutrient Tablets, 180 Count

My wife had been taking Viviscal purchased elsewhere for a few months, and it was working wonders for her; fingernails much stronger than they had ever been in her life, hair growing in thicker and nicer, etc. I looked up and found I could purchase it cheaper from Amazon, so I ordered some from here. My wife commented when they arrived that the pills were substantially different shape, color, and flavor than the other she had been taking, but figured since the packaging looked identical, it must be OK. A few months later her fingernails started breaking easily again, hair was growing in poorly again, etc. So we went and bought some Viviscal from a local authorized retailer, and pills are the same shape/color/flavor/etc as the ones she was originally taking, and after a month on the locally sourced Viviscal, her fingernails and hair are growing in thicker again. She had also developed some marked new health issues develop during the time she was taking the stuff purchased here; no idea if they are related or not, but the timing was exact, and whatever it is that Amazon is selling here, it is definitely NOT the same stuff as you get anywhere else you buy Viviscal. I am seriously considering hiring a 3rd party lab to test these and see what's actually in them, and also comparatively test them against 'real Viviscal' and see what the difference are.Thumbs WAY WAY down from me.

This item is clearly fake. I've been taking viviscal for months and this has strange looking packaging (clearly amateur foil printing) and the pills themselves look completely different from viviscal in terms of shape and color. See photo with real viviscal on the left, and fake on the right.

I've used Viviscal for almost 2 yrs. I suffered a fall with resulting in a large, deep scalp laceration and a concussion. In the area of the laceration and the removal of hair that had to be shaved to do the suturing I lost more hair. My doctors told me it would probably not grow back. I'm pleased to say the hair did grown back in that area and in other areas the hair has gotten thicker.

Item goes out of stock often . Very unstable price.Product effectiveness differs from batch to batch. It initially stopped hair fall but plateaus after few months .the recent batch purchased for 100$ looks different n can absolutely feel no difference in teh hair. It's shedding a lot. Also it smells quite bad fish smell. May not repurchase

I bought this as a shot in the dark to try anything...and I only took the morning dose!! I was going through a very stressful time, I just had a baby and my mom got sick so my hair was falling out from all the stress but I’m so excited how well it’s been working!!!

I have been using Viviscal for three months and have noticed an appreciable difference in my hair. New hair is coming in and current hair is stronger. I am impressed (and I am not easily impressed) and have ordered another three months of Viviscal. I have noticed no side effects whatsoever. Sometimes it is difficult to remember to take the second dose at night but I have not missed often. Also, it is recommended to take after a meal and sometimes I have to think about it.

I don't think that this product is authentic. The size of the pill is very different from the pill that I have previously purchased from another retailer. The pill is smaller and thinner. I have been taking Viviscal for almost a year now, so I am very familiar with what the pill looks like. Given the cost, it may not be authentic. I would not purchase from them again.

These vitamins are the best supplements I've ever purchased for my hair! I did my research before making the decision to try these and they did not disappoint. I was looking for a supplement that had a proven clinical/scientific study, not a fly by night, to good to be true hair vitamin. My hair grows at a pretty good rate as it is, so I can't say much about this supplement for growth, Some years back, my hair has lost major density after my Dr had me on alot of antibiotics for a condition that resulted in me having to have a hysterectomy. Nothing I did helped thicken it. My hair was so thin, I didn't like wearing it straight ( I'm African American)because you could see through it. Now, My hair is so thick that it takes upwards of an entire day to wash, condition, detangle and style it..and my hair is short! ( I clipper cut all my hair off 10/2016). My hair is now over 4" all over which averages to over 1/2" a month. If you're looking for a gimmicky product to grow your hair fast, This isn't it, but if you're looking for something to help you grow thick, healthy hair along with good eating habits, You've found the holy grail. Give it 3 months before making a sound decision on whether this is the product for you. You need to also take into consideration that If you have genetically thin hair, this product will not create thick hair. This product helps wake up dead hair follicles that previously had hair growing within it. I've been using this product since February and it's the best thing since sliced bread.

I have used Viviscal before and this doesn't seem to be authentic. I've taken about 2 months and have seen no change in my hair and it's shedding again...

Used for several months. The first time I bought it -- the only thing I saw was AminoMar Marine complex. I did not see Shark.

I seem to get better results with the 10K biotin supplements. Not sure about this one. It certainly didn't seem to hurt my skin/hair/nails, but not sure how much value add it...

** one year update **Two years ago I went off hormonal birth control and most of my hair fell out. This is a common story from what I understand.

I ordered the 3 month supply of tablets based on the reviews I read. While I was not sure I would see hair growth in that time, many people commented on how their hair had...
