112 Slim Pro

I received the knife a couple of days ago and can find no faults whatsoever with it. The brown micarta is very attractive and provides a good grip. The blade opens smoothly and locks in place with a satisfying “click”. Of great importance to me is that there is no blade wobble whatsoever side to side or up and down. The blade is centered very well (not perfectly), and does not rub the micarta. The execution of the blade including the edge is very well done...it came razor sharp (it would shave hairs and slice thin paper with ease). I weighed the knife on a postal scale and it weighs 2.5 ounces (my old original 110 weighs 7.2 ounces. The clip is well done, and slides into the pocket easily with a firm grasp.....aesthetically it’s not my favorite, as I would favor a smaller clip, but there is no denying it’s functionality. I like the knife enough that I have ordered a 110 slim pro with olive green micarta handles...I hope it is as well executed as this one.

This is an every day carry knife. It's slim so when clipped inside my pocket, I barely feel it there. It's made in the U.S.A. It also seems to keep an edge very well. I am very happy that I bought it.

I just received my knife, 4 days early. Ooo so excited. Beautiful knife, Exactly what I was looking for. Blade Centering is perfect and no blade play. That’s the good part about the knife. I almost thought I was going to return the knife Though. It was impossible to open it with one hand. I had to open and close it for almost 2 hours to wear down the metal Where the lock back meets the blade. I used very light knife oil and had to keep cleaning it with a paper towel to remove the metal. It is now able to be opened with one hand, but not very easily. I am hoping it’s going to get a lot looser with more use.Yes I did end up cutting the tip of my index finger trying to loosen up the blade... Very sharp knife. The Micarta handle is without any manufacturing flaws but it does absorb moisture.

Great knife for the price. If you’re looking for high quality steel and a timeless look, this is your knife. Can’t beat the quality of Buck knives and the lightweight handle material makes it a great daily carry knife.

The new Buck 112 Slim Pro (Ranger) is a nice addition to the Ranger family. The scales are made out of micarta and have a nice feel to them. The action on the blade is ok and could honestly be smoother considering the price. That being said, the knife has a lot going for it with the S30v blade material, pocket clip, and scale color options. Also, you can’t beat the lifetime warranty.

I’m only going to give it 4/5 for now, simply because I just got it and haven’t been able to use it in the real world yet.To start, I know this knife has gotten a TON of hate on the general production quality of the folder. But I think buck has listened to the complaints and stepped up the production quality. There is no play back or forth or side to side with my knife, there’s also no rubbing on the inside as the knife is being stowed and it has a nicely pointed tip.

Immaculate Buck product. Blade centering is spot on. The grind is as symmetrical as humanly possible. The edge is sharp, as sharp as the Bradford I just bought. S30v steel is what I was led to believe as far as sharpness. Using the knife is the only thing I need to do.
