Evangelion I

I’m not usually too keen on soundtrack albums. I don’t find myself listening to soundtracks on apple music while in the car or even just to vibe, but hearing this nostalgic beauty on vinyl just… moved me. This 90’s anime epic score composed and arranged by Shiro Sagisu perfectly portrays the emotions of the scenes of the timeless classic Neon Genesis Evangelion. The upbeat slice-of-life-like nature of Misato, the daring and suspenseful power of ANGEL ATTACK, the mysterious draw contained in Rei 1; it is amazing! Not to mention the absolute banger that is The Cruel Angel’s Thesis sung by Yoko Takahashi. It truly brought me back to when I first watched it, the intrigue, the heart, the intensity. You never realize how important the score is to the final product. Part of me thinks it is truly one of the main reasons Neon Genesis is so impactful. And in vinyl? Its all there. Its an extremely clean printing (unlike the poppy skippy mess that was the C418 minecraft vinyl) that truly shows how amazing this score/soundtrack is! I even enjoyed both versions of Fly Me to the Moon, which was what played at the end of the episode if you didn’t watch it through Netflix or the recent bluray release (copywrite laws). It sadly doesn’t have the version I’m used to, but the instrumental is very airy and whimsical with the flute being the vocals, and the Acid Bossa Version including Yoko Takahashi’s wonderful vocals is fresh while retaining what made her version of it wonderful.… oh yeah, it got here in good condition and quickly once it was released from pre-order.

Being a huge Evangelion fan since the age of 12, this soundtrack release is a dream come true. The continuous addition of content over the years is nothing short of fantastic.The artwork on this release is simply awesome. While I do wish there was more, what's included is visually striking and adds an extra layer of appreciation to the overall experience. The blue with black swirl colorway of the vinyl is a nice touch, and there are other options available if you prefer a different aesthetic.The music itself is top-notch, pressed with clarity that transports you back to those iconic scenes from the TV show. If you're a fan of Evangelion, this soundtrack is a must-have addition to your collection.

Vinyl number 2 is always playing on my system. I love just hosting parties and playing it in the background.

It is almost perfect except for a missing song that I really wanted from it, "Fly Me to the Moon" by Claire Littley. I know they couldn't get it for copyright reasons or something, but I would really love it if it did. its like a missing piece of the puzzle. great overall

Buy this if you like albums and evangelion do pretty and came undamaged

So this is for the recent vinyl release, don't really think it should be lumped in with the CD release as the tracklists are different. Vinyl is missing what is probably the more well known variant of Fly Me to the Moon from the series, so points off for that. The instrumental and bossa nova version are still here, as well as the rest of the OST I. Don't think that version is on any of the recent albums so it is kinda a bummer it isn't here either.

Llegó en muy buen estado. Los discos sin rayones y la funda sin golpes. Pensé que era en un azul marino simple pero viene con vetas negras qué los hacen ver aún mejor. Compra recomendada 😁👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
