Q: should this light stay on after turning off ? I have a dim glow all the way around the fixture

check ground connection.. also led’s don’t use on dimmer switch even if labled “dimable”.. sometimes mine , on 3 way switch , glows for a few seconds after turning off...When buying led lights you sometimes get what you pay for , like anything else. .. If I remember correctly,, these are warranteed through manufacture but shipping will cost as much as purchase price ? Yours also appears to be different than the one I received, so maybe try returning to Amazon and try a diff brand ? They are likely Chineese crap to begin with without muck quality control..

Q: Does this plug into the ecisting transformer? Or do you have to cut the wires and conect directly to the driver?

this led ceiling light kits including driver , so just clip this light kits to the wire is ok . you can take the old light and driver off . thank you

yes you can use it , but please measure the '' light plate '' and check the Diameter of the plate . then select the light here . if the light Outside diameter is smaller than the light plate . so i guess you can use it . Many pf my customers use these light replacement board for ceiling fans . thank you
