Is the F-11 a newer version of the F-2? Felco calls both of them "classic". I'm not sure which one to buy.

The F11 is a newer version of the F2 and is almost exactly the same. The F11 is slightly shorter (5mm) but 5g heavier. It’s hard to buy a bad pair of Felco’s.

Do these have a one inch cutting capacity like the F2?

It is similar to f2 in that I regularly can cut things up to two inches by gently flexing the limb or branch. I amazed some friends by doing such on 2"+ pine saplings. Been doing such for better than forty years professionally and have never broken a felco or damaged a plant when pruning. Gently flexing the limb causes the removed portion's tissue to yield rapidly to the blade but leaves the burr clean and healthy.

what is the cutting capacity?

This tool is designed to cut through branches about the same thickness as your little finger. You can cut thicker but you will need to apply excess force, causing fatigue in your hands and possibly dulling the blade. For branches thicker than your little finger, you should use loppers.
