The watch looks good, the qualit of the plastic seems odd, could feel the plastic smell on the straps.

We bought this watch 4 years ago for my then 8 year old. He has been very rough with it, using it as a toy, fetching it from the bottom of the pool. He scratched the face of the watch, has even managed to split the strap and retape it AND the watch keeps on ticking. Amazed at how well this product has held up.

I bought this watch for my daughter to use because she always wanted to wear a watch to school, when shopping, and everywhere she goes. The trouble is that most watches are only "water resistant", so she had to be extra careful when washing her hands so she didn't get it wet.This watch is great because it is easy to read, has a stopwatch function that she loves to use, and can go with her when she goes swimming in the pool or beach.I also like it because I have not needed to change the battery or wristband, even though she is not very gentle when pulling on it to undo the clasp.The reason I docked one star is because after about 2.5 years, the plastic around the watch face came off. I don't know for sure how it happened. Most likely, the watch was hit against a hard object (like a wall or desk) and weakened the plastic enough that it eventually broke off.She doesn't want to try dunking the watch in the pool, so I don't know if that affected the water resistance, but the watch itself still works.I liked the watch enough to buy the exact same model to use as a replacement, which she is using today.
