Great Quality Product
I purchased this item around Christmas time last year and I wanted to make a bunch of knit hats and items for Christmas presents. Out of the box, this was very easy to put together, the appearance is very sleek, and the product is a good value for the money. As far as performance goes, The needles don’t slip and catch various types of yarn. With that said you do need to be careful with what kind of yarn you are using as too thick of yarn will get trapped in the needles and can actually cause them to break on this machine. I would recommend researching what kind of yarn is recommended before purchasing to make sure that you like to work with that kind of yarn. The yarn that I have used is from Joann fabrics, their big twist brand, along with Lion brand yarns both work very well. I have made probably 75 hats, a baby blanket, a handful of scarves, mittens, and the machine is holding very well. I would give it a 10/10 for durability. This is a fun machine to work with and when it does break I will likely purchase another.

I love my Addi.
As someone wanting to learn circular knitting I bought the Addi versus it similar Sentro version. I see people complaining about getting the cheaper Sentro and complaining the Addi costs too much. It was so worth spending the extra money! As with anything you have to learn how to use it. I watched the 100’s of videos on you tube waiting for it to arrive. The shipping took a little longer than expected and wasn’t updated until the day before I got it. I just kept watching tutorials and stocked up on supplies and yarn. I got it out of the box screwed the legs on and knit a perfect tube. No dropped stitches. It was smooth as silk. The first row after cast on is a little noisy and as soon as second row starts it is smooth and quiet. This is normal. The row counter is perfect. I have made many hats as well as ear warmers so far and it’s still awesome. I love the pattern book and can’t wait to get my skills up so I can try some. I would buy this again. People that bought cheaper models are complaining so much in my knitting group and I haven’t had any problems with my Addi. I would recommend this to anyone. I was a complete beginner and after watching tutorial knit a hat the night I got it. I am now looking into buying the smaller 22 needle version! My only complaint is that Addi does not have a 40 needle version I can buy. Sentro does and I’m nervous about that. I will purchase one eventually. This Addi is definitely worth the price. I would buy it again and recommend to anyone.

My favorite way to make gifts!
The Addi Express Knitting Machine has quickly become one of my favorite crafting tools, prompting me to purchase a second one after my first began to wear down. I absolutely love the versatility it offers, allowing me to create a wide variety of knitted hats as gifts for friends and family. While the machine can be used for more intricate projects like fair isle knitting, I find myself returning to the simplicity of making beanies and scarves, which are perfect for personalizing gifts. That said, there is a learning curve, and I spent quite a bit of time watching YouTube videos to master the technique and troubleshoot any mistakes. However, once you get the hang of it, the process becomes incredibly quick and enjoyable—you can easily whip up a stylish hat in just 15 minutes! I highly recommend the Addi Express for knitters of all levels looking to add a fun, efficient tool to their crafting arsenal.

Fun to Use
I bought this machine so I could experiment combining a knit piece with my crochet. I did get it very close to what I wanted and will keep trying. The finished piece is a well made plain knit. I have had many issues in learning the best way to use this machine. It is NOT as easy as it looks but with time and practice it is very useful. It makes a knit hat very easily but flat knitting is full of issues. Maybe it is just me or maybe the yarn I have tried to use. Not really sure. If all you really want is hats then by all means buy this one. The sample pics are a baby blanket where I made hat type panels but crocheted the ends and sides to give it a pretty border. I just sewed the panels together. There are a ton of youtube videos with instructions on different projects and its use in general. I plan to make Christmas themed scarves with this machine as gifts or maybe even for my shop. The instructions included are really difficult to follow. The machine is very well made and durable. With all my mistakes, it is not damaged yet. The cheaper versions are not made to last at all. This one IS! I hope this helps.

Neat but pricey
The instructions aren't as beginner friendly as you would hope. It is neat/fun to use, but I can see where it drops stitches. You have to go very slow to catch them and correct it before you're too far gone. 100% not worth the money. If money is not an issue, than go for it. but if you have your doubts, don't pay this money for the product.

I think…
I’m in love! The machine runs smoothly and I love the apparel book that came with it, besides the instruction booklet! Working on my very 1st hat now! It loves this yarn, no dropped stitches! Yeaaaaahhhhh

My Addi came just as described, with all the components, and in great working order. This machine is great for turning out quality knit items such as hats, scarves, and even stuffies. I recommend that anyone new to knitting machines read the instructions and even do some reading on online forms to understand the machine better. My only dislike of the machine thus far is that I had to buy a separate tension part to help produce a more even and consistent tension for my pieces.
