Henny Penny (Folk Tale Classics) (Paul Galdone Nursery Classic)

I remember my mother reading this to me as a child. I remember her reading it to my sister as well. Come join the adventures with Henny Penny, Loosey Goosey and the rest of the crew.I'm teaching my son to read and this is an amazing book to teach. My husband and I changed words near the end so the fox didn't eat them. I don't want to reach my 4 year old about this yet!Anyway, it is an easy read and will teach your little one rhyming words.I recommend this to preschooler through kindergarten ages. I'm a homeschooling momma and I approve!

All my boys have read this.They used to read in school.We bought this for our youngest for his birthday.Seems appropriate in times of the never ending pitch for Climate change garbage.Beautifully illustratedBeautiful book my son can pass on to his children one day.

This book is a joy to read. A parent can enthusiastically pick this one up and throw themselves into reading it and your children will be delighted by the energy and repetitive narrative structure of this book.The book is well written and easily memorized. Despite the repetition in the book it is a joy to read because of its frenetic pace.

I love this story and so do my kids but the story I’ve heard a million times ends with Foxy Loxy thinking the sky is falling, not eating the other characters. My kids did NOT like this book version.

I bought this book because my mother read it to me as a child and I wanted to be able to share the story with my baby. This is a great little story for children of any age! As always, Amazon had great service and the book arrived before it was actually scheduled to be here! I was happy with my purchase as well as Amazon's service!

The story is classic but the illustrations brought it to life. Great to read to my grandson who soon picked up the names!!

This is a classic tale and who better to tell it than Paul Galdone with his exceptional and humorously expressive artwork. Stunning, a real joy to look at.

Pleased with this beautiful edition! Bought it for my under 10s, they enjoyed the story! Not the traditional happy ending, which was entertaining and appreciated by all.

We first bought this book when our daughters were very young and they would not go to sleep without having the book read to them. We have recently bought a copy for our young grandaughter and she is as enthusiastic about it as her mummy used to be. She is only just over 3 years old and has already managed to memorise the pages. It is a wonderful book for a child's development (although it gets quite tedious for the person who has the joy of reading it to the child each day!). Terrific value for money, I would recommend it to anyone.
