Sort of works
I've had one of these before that worked great ,however this one points to far up so it can never point truly down when its raining. Also it only points slightly up after it's rained for a while. I've seen these things actually work but I would buy it from a different company

Fun gift
I am an avid gardener and received one of these as a gift. My first thought was “um, ok” but I hung it and it’s fun to watch it’s accuracy. One problem here in Florida is that the humidity is often very high so even with 0% chance of rain it may point down. But it’s humorous in certain ways and I enjoy sending pics to the folks who gave it to me every now and then showing it’s accuracy or inaccuracy.

arrived broken: other products in the package with it may have beat it up. I have had these before. I lost my last in, off all things, a flood! They are folksy, fun and accurate. Unfortunately, an even exchange could not be done and I haven't gotten around to ordering again.

Bought this for my grandsons and thy love watching the weather stick and playing weatherman.

Fun and surprisingly accurate
I've purchased two of these over the years. I gave the first one to my father, the mechanical engineer, as a joke. The joke was on me every time he called to report that the weather stick had accurately forecast changes in the weather. I gave the second one to a student of mine who plans a career in meteorology. He was bemused and (I think) underwhelmed with my gift but he, too, is now a fan. It's definitely more accurate than the weather person on the news!

I love the idea of the weather stick
My weather stick came to me in an envelope and was broken into two pieces. I love the idea of the weather stick, but the packaging wasn't great. :(

Wonderful little gadget
Wonderful little gadget. We've had weather sticks for years, replacing them if they break...which is not often, unless a squirrel mistakes it for a tree branch. They're spot on in predicting good or bad weather. When the stick points up (good weather) we think of it as smiling. Pointing down is a frown...lol. It makes a very unique gift for the outdoorsy type, outdoor entertainers or anyone who has a place to hang it and watch it.
