Lovely idea, works well, but a traditional mini kettle is better
I love the concept -- great idea.The product absolutely works as described. No funny taste (some kettles are horrid), nice and quiet, and folds down as in the pictures. The keep warm feature also works, though I'm not entirely sure why you'd want that, and it seems more likely that you'd leave it on by accident than ever actually want that feature.BUT...My old mini kettle was basically a normal kettle, half the size. It was plastic, and white, and nothing amazing, and was BETTER because:(1) there's a cable. In my old kettle, the cable fit nicely into the kettle, with teabags, sweeteners, and a little pot for milk. It was easier to pack, because it was all in one place in a nice tidy package. Because this folds down, all that stuff is just taking up space outside.(2) it feels heavier. (ok -- I can't test this because I lost the old one). But this feels heavy. Its 660g with cable on my scales.(3) it's only 1000W, and actually takes quite some time to boil.

Didn't work, dumped it on holiday
Bought this as my wife loves her tea and the hotel we were travelling to had no in room tea making. Set it up for 110 volts as per the instructions and after checking with the hotel. Power light came on but it never heated. Reception staff at the hotel checked it too.Frustrating as it didn't work and costs a lot more than standard travel kettles. Ended up leaving it in Jamaica as trying to bring it and the box home to get a refund just wasn't worth the hassleLooks very fancy but does nothing

Brilliant!
This collapsible kettle is brilliant! I bought it as a stand by and it was a good job I had it as the kettle where I was staying on holiday wasn’t working! It’s easy to set up! I certainly recommend it! It’s a must on your travels, it’s light weight and doesn’t need much space in your suitcase!

Size and short time to boil
Excellent poured in the quantity of water to fill 1 cup and it boiled in under 2.5 mins very impressive and folded takes up little space in your suitcase.
