This prevents any hair or anything else from going down the drain. That’s all you can ask for with this, and it’s really good for the price.

Not a corvt iteam the size wasn't 3 inch like you mention it in the picture

the edges are all raw and it basically sits on top of the open area. nothing to secure and no silicone to suction to the sink. It also made my sink drain really really slow, I have to move it if I want the water to drain normally.

I have long hair so having something to catch it is a big concern as clogged drains especially with long hair and everything it catches can be a pain.

Love this and it actually works at catching hair....I still can't figure that out, lol.....the holes are bigger than a normal strainer....so how does that work?

Who knew so much of my hair was going down the drain? This little gadget catches my hair so my drain won’t clog!
