Bought these to keep the cables on the back of my desk organized and out of the way. After applying the cable straps to a clean, metal surface on 3 different occasions and cleaning the surface before each application they just never held and I gave up trying. Considering I was using like 6-7 of these for a 5-foot span each one didn't have to hold more than a few ounces of weight each, but once one fell off then they all started popping off in sequence quite quickly.I suppose the only good feature about these cable straps is that they do come with a screw hole so if you are planning to put these on wood then I would say put a screw in there because the adhesive will not hold on for long.

These cable grips work excellently when they actually adhere. I thoroughly cleaned all the surfaces before using these to put up an led light ropes around the interior of our patio roof.At first everyone seemed to adhere perfectly but over the course of a week one in 5 failed which meant I had to buy more.I used these on a vertical metal surface so with the cleaning I did every one should have stayed put. So if the manufacturer takes the time to look into the problem with the adhesive and solve it they would deserve 5 stars but until then they only deserve four.

I was going to to return because the white coloring is off. Looks more like off white. If you are running cables under desk and where can be hidden they are great. But if you want transparency may not be what you are looking for. But over all the adhesive is great and the way you can adjust the grip. Is awesome you can use for a bunch of cables at once. What that said it has it's pros and cons but have stayed on with great grip unlike others. None the less I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend

I was using these to run co-ax cable in attic- it was sticking to old wood, just make sure you clean surface reasonably good. I was using center hole for screw as designed, but for areas where that was not possible the adhesive worked better than I expected. If I had any compliant I wish they could make a smaller version- for use with fiber optics for example- otherwise these are a good choice. If you do make cable run mistakes like I did- you can always reopen them without running the tie .

I used this for an 8ft extension cable it worked great with hiding the flat cable but it could not withstand the weight or size of the extension cables end, it started unsticking so I had to use Velcro adhesive to hold it in place, and when putting the strap around the thick part of the cable and into the clip, the clip would flex and allow for the strap to come out of place, so it has to be done very slow and carefully to hold in place. But other than that it is really great for normal sized cables.

These straps keep all the cables in nice bundles. The only thing I found is that the adhesive is not that strong so after about a week, they would peel off the surface that it was attached to, and yes the surface was pre-cleaned prior to applying the adhesive.

So far, I have tried wood and painted wood. The adhesion is a joke and one has to use screws to hold these in place. Might as well use the nail-in brackets since they are of a lower profile and make less of a mess with the wall.

This strap works well for hanging network cable up to the wall. Keep up the great work!
