Comfortable, precise and highly customisable.
G502 is one of the best gaming mice I’ve used in a long time. Right out of the box, it feels solid and well-built — not cheap or flimsy. The shape fits my hand comfortably whether I’m clawing or palm-gripping, and the buttons are responsive without being too stiff.

Feature rich, long lasting, truly a 'Hero'
Very comfortable for both work and gaming. Additional features like hyper fast scrolling mode, DPI shift button, horizontal scroll support are excellent. I had no idea I would end up using these features so much. Customizable weights are an added bonus, but I found the default weight quite good. I have been using the mouse almost everyday for 3.5 years and just now it has started giving left click and middle click issues. This is the longest I have used a mouse. All other mice I owned in the past had issues within the first year (especially the cheaper logitech ones). Highly recommend this one if you need a wired gaming mouse.

Great, lasted 2 yrs
Very ergonomic for a larger hand and using it with all the weights and button features feels satisfying. Left click stopped working after two years. I used it very regularly for work and gaming. Even opened and cleaned it but the problem arose again soon.

Still going strong after 2.5 years
Bought it in March 2023, the mouse is still working fine with (without double clicking) all the OSes I could work on. Either Mac, Windows, Linux or even ChromeOS. - Although the GHub application which controls everything software side is not available on anything other than Windows and Mac, the onboard chip still stores atleast some settings to use in other OS such as DPI levels and button controls. - If your hands are big this is the best mouse you can buy to make your hands comfortable. It fits perfectly in my hands. - I wish the wireless version was slightly less costly as I can't throw in 10K in a mouse that will just stop working with double click issue after 3-4 years. Got the same problem in G402 mice previously. Consecutively bought 2 of them in a gap of 3 years. - Warranty support is abysmal but they atleast replace your whole device if it is still under warranty. It took around 1.5 month in G402 warranty replacement. - Build Quality for G502 is better than G402 although wire should have been more tough or to say braided. Current cable is not that good. Latest G402 had a better cable than this G502. - After all the fear of double clicking this mice is still the value for money.

Customizable 5 weights & 11 Buttons, Hyper Scroll and High DPI/RGB. But the best thing is G HUB!
Customization: 5/5 Buttons: 5/5 Features: 5/5 Control: 5/5 Durability: 5/5 Grip: 4/5 RGB: 5/5 Review: G502 Hero fills the gaps of the previous G502. Hero is the perfect companion for all of your gaming needs. Let me get into each of them one by one. Don't miss the G HUB! Programmable Buttons: It features 11 buttons that are fully programmable. These include Forward/Backward, DPI Up/Down, G-Shift, Middle Click, Left/Right Click, Profile Cycle and Left/Right Scroll. Refer my image for visualization. Holding G-Shift in the default mode changes DPI to a preset which you can customize. For example, I hold it while snipping to lower my DPI to 1200 in FPS games and increase accuracy. Besides lowering the DPI, G-Shift button can also make existing buttons perform other functionality than their defaults. This gives you another set of 10 new controls! Yes, it does have horizontal scroll that enables left/right scrolling. I use it to change tabs in Chrome. Profile Cycle button helps me to cycle between different profiles easily. Not to miss that all of these are fully customizable on a per-app basis! Hyper Scroll: The scroll features as a frictionless one. Just scroll it once on a long webpage, leave it and it will keep scrolling even after you reach the end. Don't worry, you have a toggle just under it that can disable this feature. RGB: The space allotted is less. You can customize RGB settings for the Logo and the profile indicator on per-app basis. Choose modes between Cycle, Breathing, Fixed, Music and Screen. Music mode works as visualizer based on the playing track. Screen mode changes colour according to what's on your screen. For example, I have made profile for GRIS that makes my G502 to change colour to white and red depending on what's on left and middle side of the screen. The profile indicator in default mode helps you see the profile or DPI level when you change among the max 5. Weights: You get 5 3.6 grams weight bars that you can align in the weight compartment of the mouse as per your convenience. You have options for left/right and forward/backward alignments. A single weight can be aligned in 13 different ways! I've made a weight adjustment video so that you can see how weights are adjusted in G502. Grip and Durability: The mouse looks rock solid. If you have not too large hands, yours can rest comfortably over the mouse. There is a thumb rest while the curvature of the mouse is a treat to your right hand. Beware, left-handers! G HUB: The best thing about this mouse is the software. Yes, you read it right. With G HUB, you can make custom profiles (or even download from the community) for each app. Thus, you can change RGB colours and mode, buttons mapping, DPI settings and G-Shift/DPI-Shift for a particular app. I have even set a profile for Chrome that enhances my productivity. You can find profiles made by me on G HUB by the name 'Baahubali'. What amazed me is that besides Macros (Keyboard key combinations), Shortcuts and Keyboard Keys, you can even build scripts in Lua programming language - now this is something really professional by team. This was my first purchase of a premium gaming mouse. Previously, I had been buying Dragonwar mice. I read somewhere that this mouse is a one-time investment and now I believe they are right. Experiencing the hyper frictionless scroll gives you an idea about how reliable the mouse promises to be! With a price tag on 4K, it's a steal. You may get as minimum as INR 3799 in Lightning Deals. Do check my detailed photos and unboxing videos. I had to follow Amazon Video Format Specs so do visit YouTube (Paras Lehana) to view highest quality video of Unboxing and Weight Adjustment.

I own 3 of these mice my oldest one being 5 years old. It is just the perfect mouse. Fits well in the hand and adjustable weights are super nice. I never ever had the doubleclicking problem. I highly suggest the wireless version for convenience. The wired one has a long cable that has a fiber covering. This makes cable management a pain and the cable covering frays over time. I just wish this mouse had a usb c port for charging. It kind of sucks having to keep a micro usb cable around just for this mouse. Otherwise, it excels in gaming and i use it daily for work!

Switched from a Logitech Anywhere 2S to this, and so far, after about a month, I'm loving it. I wish the LEDs can be completely disabled, however, or be customised completely per your preferences, but the main functionality is great.

The G502 is one of the most revered mice of all time and for good reasons. G-shift, good ergonomics, multitudes of programmable buttons, good durability, all contribute to an excellent product. I had my own G502 wired (Proteus Core, not Hero) for three years and it's been running without any problems barring the frayed fabric wire--which is mostly my fault anyway and you can just strip the fabric easy. The G502 Lightspeed is an almost exact copy of the original, with the advantage of being wireless while still maintaining all the features of the original. As a wireless mouse, it avoids most downfalls of wireless mice. The Lightspeed has excellent battery life and next to no latency--though I don't do serious FPS gaming with it. It also charges surprisingly fast. The only downside, which admittedly is really noticeable, is that the left and right-click felt weak. My G502 Proteus Core has a solid and tactile click and comparing with the Lightspeed side-to-side made the Lightspeed's clicks felt downright unpleasant. There are also issues regarding its durability, particularly with the left and right buttons developing double-click issues, so I'll just have to hope mine isn't a lemon. In conclusion, this is still 95% of the G502 experience without the wires. So, if you're looking for an "endgame" mouse, this will likely be it.
