Clarke CWS200B 200mm Whetstone Sharpener (230V)

This was cheap when I bought it from a different seller (so apologies to this seller). Should have known better. Very quickly (despite my best efforts) a groove developed in the wheel and that messed up my straight skew which is now a rounded skew. Then the real battle started. The wheel was almost welded to the shaft. I was eventually beating it with a hammer to no avail. Ended up taking to it with a heavy duty chisel and cracked it in half just to remove it. But....replacement wheels are non-existent. No problem you say, just chuck a CBN wheel on it. Hah! The drive shaft is 12mm, not 12.7 which is was every reducing bush I could find will give you. I am facing this going into the bin. Seriously Clarke Tools, gotto do better!

Probably a good buy for a mid range price tool, I cannot fault it in any way , when comparing it with the tormac wet grinder you pay a lot more for the greater refinement's which if you are a person using this type of tool often then it may be well worth it. Otherwise it suits my needs
