AN EASY-TO-USE PRODUCT FOR THE SKILLED AUTOMOTIVE DO-IT-YOURSELFER
My 2018 Explorer Sport came to me with 79K miles on it, so I decided to replace the rear shocks, and did so myself, using OEM Ford shocks, which definitely firmed out the ride in the rear. Then, over the next 2 years of ownership, I started getting some "clunking" from the front end, so I looked into what it would take to replace both of my front strut/shock assemblies, and my AllData instructions made it seem fairly straightforward. So, I purchased a matching pair of these Monroe Quick-Struts, as well as new OEM Ford stabilizer bar links. As I was doing this as a one-man job, the first one took a lot longer than the second one (learning curve), to install, but once they were both in, the difference in the ride is amazing! The SUV now rides much firmer, the clunking sound is now gone, and I have tighter control on sharp turns, etc. It's definitely a good product, and you can do it yourself, if you have the technical automotive know-how!The only caveat I would suggest is that you should DEFINITELY take it to an alignment shop after you've done the swap, as camber and/or toe will typically need to be reset (as mine did).HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PRODUCT!

I didn't learn my lesson: DO NOT BUY THESE, AWFUL QUALITY ASSURANCE/CONTROL.
I didn't learn the lesson and ordered these Monroe Quick-Struts again. In the past i ordered Monroe Quick Struts, and they have been a lottery, the very first time it was for a GMC Acadia Driver side and they worked fine, followed by a driver side for a Ford Explorer which were noisy next day after installation and went back, but i ordered a replacement and it worked fine.I purchased a front set for a Honda Civic and the ride was ABYSMAL, we kept it because the trouble and cost to remove them wasn't viable at that point in time.Fast forward, i've had a Monroe Quick Strut on my driver side of my 2015 AWD Ford Explorer that hadn't given me any issues for about a year that i replaced it so i decided to play roulette and ordered this one, the guys at the shop cringed when they saw it due to the high rate of revisits due to it and made me acknowledge that if something went wrong with noise or ride quality i would be responsible for replacing it and it wouldn't covered on a labor warranty, $180 labor+alignment went there.Just next day the strut was noisy and the ride quality definitely worsened, even compared to the 9 year old noisy, but well-performing Ford stock strut you noticed the roughness on the right end of the vehicle, i had to locally purchase one and pay another $140 (they discounted me $40 at the shop) to reinstall another one.The bottomline is, some of these will be decent and some will be absolute garbage, but the rate of getting a garbage product is absurdly high so i wouldn't risk it, i'm never buying another Monroe Quick-Strut, the money i was saving went into labor and ended up having to pay more for another brand and labor, skip these and thank me later.

Buen reemplazo
Cambie el amortiguador delantero hace dos semanas, el cambio fue rápido y calzo a la perfección en mi Explorer sport 2016, al conducir el carro ahora se lo siente mucho más rigido, hasta el momento todo perfecto

Check the parts closely upon receipt
Other than a quality issue these were a breeze to deal with compared to dealing with spring compressors and all that fun stuff. This one was defective but didn't notice until after installation and had some creaks and pops during low speed steering and over bumps. Bought a replacement and found that this one had been assembled incorrectly. Issue was resolved fairly quickly, so not dissatisfied, but recommend checking the parts before taking your car apart...

Satisfied overall
First thing I noticed is the box arrived with a hole in it. I understand this is more of a shipping issue than manufacturing issue but still frustrating. When taken out of the box I observed only 2 nuts for the top 4 bolts instead of 4 like it was supposed to have. I laid the new one next to the factory old one and other than the boot fitting a little different it looked the same. It went in smooth and easy and fixed the problem I was having. It went on a 2016 ford explorer 4x4. I’d say 4 star just because didn’t have all the nuts.

Great strut
This Monroe is my first buy in terms of suspension parts. I was not expecting it to be good but was better than expected. It looks better than the OEM on my 2013 explorer
