I’ve been hoping for a good battery case and decided since this one does Lightning cable (versus the usual micro usb) and Wireless I should give it a try. Not sure why Qi wireless is so rare in the cases out there but I’m glad this one got it!I just got it and put it on and already a few things bug me. These may not matter to you though.First the good stuff: the material feels nice in the hand, very pleasant soft plastic. Very nice design also and it doesn’t add a “chin” to the phone like many such battery cases do... which is great since going bezel-less is why many got the XS Max to begin with! The overall feel of the product is definitely premium.Now for the minor negatives:The first isn’t really a problem but worth noting for anyone who didn’t use a battery case with such a large capacity before: this case is thick and heavy!Coming off of a previous battery case with less capacity this took me by surprise but I suppose I can get used to it.The second thing is something the manufacturer did. When it charges the phone to 100% it turns off automatically. Sounds fine if you want to drain your phone first then turn the case on. If that’s your style then ignore this point.However I like to keep my battery cases on and let them drain first (which is the behavior of Apples own battery cases).This allows me to ditch the case later in the day and have a lighter phone with 100% battery. Also allows me to drop off the case at home to recharge it while still being able to use the phone or even go out.The last benefit to that is that by not putting too many cycles on your phone battery they’ll last longer before they need to be replaced too.As I mentioned these are minor points and based on my subjective opinion. If keeping the case on all day to save your phones battery and the weight of the phone aren’t an issue for you, this is a perfect buy.

Not for me! If you’re a bike messenger and you need a portable charger, please look for other options. This device is for stay at home people or work in office people. The grip on the phone is suspect. If you have oily hands or sweaty hands, this is not for you. The case can handle a descent fall and the top piece will come out. I highly recommend you put a screen protector. Now for the biggest reason I need to give it back. This device will malfunction in outside weather elements. Especially wind. It’s such a horrible thing. Imagine having to give this back because the case can’t function in outside conditions. Once again I bike for a living and this is not the case for me. If you spend a good amount of time on a bike and need a portable charger, this isn’t it.

This Battery Case has a small 2nd piece that both protects a phones top 2 corners, and it locks the phone in place in the Battery Case...Somehow one day I lost the smaller piece. Checked my pockets, checked my car, but it was gone.I contacted the company and without any questions, Snowpink sent me a replacement--100% the company stood behind wanting the customer (me) to be satisfied.The Battery Case is great...it does, of course, add some weight, but that is easily offset by the exceptional extra and large battery, and the protection it provides to an expensive phone.It shows how much charge (via 4 LEDs) is available, you can charge the phone and the case at the same time, and the footprint and thickness is only very moderately larger than just a simple phone case.Great solution if that is what you are looking for.UPDATE 3/7/19. Been using the Snowpink iPhone Xs MAX Battery Case Qi Wireless Charging, 5000mAh Slim Portable Charger Case EVERYDAY for the last 100 days or so...and I love it. Never once, even on the longest days traveling, have I run out of battery.... I really find it to be a fantastic solution for a very real need.

Ordered the case and it works as expected. The pass through functionality works better than any other battery cases I've ever used. Port is a lightning port so I don't need a different cable to charge the case which is a plus. Only down side was the cases doesn't quite close properly on the unit I received. Exchanged messages with the seller and was told that there is "some variation in individual units" and that was the end of it. Case works, but be wary if that sort of thing bothers you. Seller did not offer to replace with a different unit, basically told me that I got a bad one and I had to deal with it.

I just purchased this and I'm very satisfied with the case itself--it's feels durable, has a tight fit, all buttons are easily accessible on my XS Max. The case is quite heavy though- reminds me of a Mophie case. Very happy that I can charge with a lightning cable BUT it does not work with my Senseo Qi wireless charger because there is metal in the casing that allows it to be magnetic. If anyone knows of a Qi charger that works with this case, that would be great. The description says it works with all Qi chargers, but that is not correct, which is why I give it a three star instead of a 5 star rating.

The battery case is very good when it works. I’m on my 2nd case and both have suffered from intermittent issues with Qi wireless charging, lightning connectivity (CarPlay), and battery charging. I think the issue is with the top piece - if it isn’t seated tightly enough the connector gets slightly disconnected and causes the above issues. If I pop the top off, push the case tighter and put it back on the issue is resolved 90% of the time.

Will not charge the phone wirelessly. I have a belkin 10watt QI charger. It will charge the phone out of the case. It will charge the case without the phone in it. The phone and case will charge if you use the lightning cable. Once the phone is in the case it will not charge the phone or the case. I either have a defective case or it didn’t not work as it is advertised. I hope someone will contact me and either send a replacement or refund my purchase. i had a new replacement in about a week great customer service. problem now is the second case worked for 3 days and stared doing the same thing as the first case. It will not charge the case and phone wirelessly together. Im hoping the 3rd time will be a charm.
