This has left my hair so soft! And I have no flakes after using it!
This set of 2 Head and Shoulders Clinical Strength shampoo came as scheduled through my Subscribe and Save plan. The bottles came wrapped in a plastic bag for protection, and arrived with no spillage or leakage. The shampoo is a bright orange color, and although there is a faint “lava rock” smell like all of these type of shampoos have, it is not a strong as some other clinical shampoos such as Tegrin.I wanted to see if it would help my family since several of us have seborrhea and have really flakey hair even right after washing it because of it. This Head and Shoulders Clinical says it takes care of many of the symptoms of ‘seborehic dermatitis’ so I figured I’d give it a try.So this morning I washed my hair with it, and the first thing I noticed is that it is low suds. I wondered how well that would do in cleaning my hair. The smell of the shampoo was not unpleasant, although, again, it does have that “lava rock” smell it is not overpowering at all. And another thing I noticed is that when I rinsed it out, it felt as if I had just applied a conditioner, my sopping wet hair felt really soft.As I towel dried it, I noticed the same thing, that my hair seemed pretty soft, so I just went ahead and used my familiar routine; a little bit of mousse on the wet head & blow dry. When I got done my hair was so soft and was extremely well behaved: no flyaways, no static stick ups! And none of the flakes I usually see hanging around after I wash my hair, not even at the end of the hair line where my forehead is! I’m really pleasantly surprised. I told my family that my hair seemed super soft and they all ran their fingers through my hair and agreed. All I can say is, WOW! This shampoo really impressed me for the cleaning job it did, and I like that the smell is not very noticeable (the other clinical shampoos I used have a scent that sticks around for 2-3 days) and that it has made my hair really, really soft while the flakes are not there! I would recommend this for anyone with this condition to try this shampoo- it really worked for me! And I put it on my Subscribe and Save so I won’t have to worry about running out—and I don’t have to cancel the subscription because it is really a keeper!

Amazing Product, Actually Works! Goodbye Itching and Redness!!
I can't believe this stuff works as well as it does. I pored over the reviews before purchase, and was a bit skeptical, but for the $13 or so that I paid, I figured what the heck. I have tried literally everything to control my seborrheic dermatitis, from OTC remedies such as Ketoconazole, Selenium Sulfide and Pyrithione Zinc to $350 Clobetasol shampoo, and a whole host of cheaper Rx goops and ointments. I even tried crazy home remedies like olive oil scalp soaks, etc. Don't believe people that tell you this stuff reeks or stains towels, clothing, sheets; none of this is true. Rinse it out of your hair like anything else. No rocket science, no tricks. It smells like regular OTC Head and Shoulders dandruff shampoo, which is to say, pleasant but not overly sweet or herbal. It's not very medicinal at all. The way other reviewers carried on, I was prepared for it to smell like hell! For those with experience, coal tar shampoo smells absolutely terrible, this stuff smells like spring meadows compared to that. After one use, no kidding, my seb derm was almost under control--itching gone, redness almost gone, very few flakes remaining. After three uses, I was (and remain) fully symptom-free. My scalp. Does not. Itch.I've been to over 4 dermatologists in 2 years (PPO and HMO). For all the hundreds I've spent, it's an amazing relief to have this stuff work so damn well. You owe it to yourself to try this if you're suffering with seb derm. Fwiw, regular Selsun Blue (which features the same active ingredient at perhaps a lower strength by default) didn't do the trick, but this stuff did. Whatever the case, this 1% selenium sulfide concoction is amazing. According to my dermatologist, the way to keep seb derm under control is to rotate, so use this and others throughout the week to "confuse" your scalp into behaving, while not allowing it to adapt to one consistent method of treatment. Either way, this stuff is worth its weight in gold. No more flakes, no more itching, no more redness AT ALL. Protip: if you have seb derm on the face or sideburns, a little of the lather from this will get rid of it as well. I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice =].PS I have been using this for two months and have not lost any hair or incurred temporary baldness due to this product, nor has it otherwise ruined my life or pursuit of happiness. There's quite an array of interesting reviews for this shampoo.

It Works.
The title says it all. For years, I've tried other over-the-counter shampoos and nothing worked. I wasn't sure why my scalp itched. I've had dandruff for as long as I could remember, though the intermittent scalp itchiness started about 15 years ago. I gave this a shot. Dandruff was effectively gone after my very first use. The intermittent itchiness is dramatically reduced. I cannot say this has been "life changing," but I wish I had found this years ago. What could be improved is the scent. The scent isn't bad. Neutral is probably the best way to describe it. I imagine this is by design as some people are sensitive to fragrances (I tend towards that as well with some products). The lack of a perfumed/fragrant scent could be an issue for folks looking for a great-smelling, daily shampoo. I use this nearly daily, but itch and dandruff reduction/elimination are of greater importance to me. Your mileage with this product will likely vary, as do the causes and severity of scalp itch and dandruff, but for $6, it is worth a try for those who have only had limited success with regular dandruff shampoos.
