I needed this for an antique lock. After cutting the necessary groove to fit the lockwork, and filing it to fit the mechanism, it works perfectly.I was afraid the brass would be too soft to hold up to actual use, but the alloy used here is quite hard for brass and shows no sign of bending or deforming.This is a key *blank* and may or may not fit your lock without some filing and/or cutting. My lock has a tab (called a "ward" maybe? I don't know, I'm not a locksmith) that prevents a solid square tab like this key from being inserted. Two minutes with a hacksaw and another two minutes with a hand file and it fit perfectly, locks and unlocks.

Works great..... Had to file it a little bit to get it to fit right and function but works beautifully now!!!!

Now, yes while I expected a worn bronze color but the pic showed that it was like a vintage or bronzed gold. This is just brown, which is fine but be aware color is pretty off

I am using this as a positivity enhancer. To me it is the magical key which opens every door. So it was important that it LOOKED magical. I believe it has fulfilled my expectations. Thank You.

This is a beautifully well crafted key. Unfortunately, it did not fit the lock I needed. If you know for sure its the right size and thickness for your lock then its definitely worth the money. Its just my loss.
