SlipX Solutions Blue Bubble Bath Mat

This is my second time purchasing a bathmat like this. I can't recall if the first one was thru Amazon or not, but still. The mat fits the length of my tub, is clear but still pretty to me. I had my first one for years and did something to discolor it (too long to explain here) so I searched for another one like it. I am very pleased!

This bath /shower mat has a very strong suction that will keep it well secured in your bath tub. The tub should have a smooth surface so the suction cups can attach to the tub. It is great to avoid slips and falls when standing, or getting out of the bathtub. Highly recommended.

Update:After a few long months the smell did go away. And it has not gotten yucky or moldy or anything so I’d say now it’s more like four stars.-Seems ok enough. Pretty color. But for days now it has made our bathroom stink of a strong unpleasant plastic smell and it’s kind of wild that it just keeps smelling so awful.

Many of us, especially ladies, like a little oasis in our busy lives. Mine is the bath, the one place I can escape from the world for a few minutes. However, like many people, I don't have a fancy tub, or a lot of money to spare. This mat is not being used for kids / toddlers / babies or anything like that. Just for me & my guy.I bought this mat with a little trepidation...some of the reviews here made me think the mat was of poor quality. I decided for the price, I would try it and I'm very pleased with what I found. Maybe I got lucky and bought a mat from a newer batch.The smell: very, very slight and dissipated within a few hours. It didn't permeate throughout my little bathroom.The feel: not too nubbly, but very comfortable. Certainly better to sit on than the standard mats I've gotten over the years.The look: I got the clear version and it is lovely in the bathtub. Hides any flaws. Isn't too big (I was worried that it would be too big), and fits nicely in a standard bathtub. Furthermore, the "curl" wasn't there. I took it out of its package, rinsed it off well, and stuck it to the floor of the tub. No curling there...it is lying flat.I think it's a great little investment for the price. It's attractive and looks well made. I wouldn't turn away from this product.

I have an older tub and this sticks well and works successfully to keep you from slipping. It does however has a strong chemical plastic smell that has lingered for a week, even though it has been used every day and cleaned. It would hurt your feet if you had to stand on it for a long period of time but just daily showering is not uncomfortable.

I am so happy with this product. My old one was square shaped and was shorter which unfortunately ended up with a slip and fall concussion. Not relaxing.This product is sturdy in suction, stays in place, super comfortable and easy to spray off. I am very pleased to say I feel safe in my shower again. Love it!

This seemed like a nice bathtub mat, non-slip, nice color, reasonable price, however...I'd read the other reviews and saw a few that mentioned the smell of it, color coming off on the tub, etc, but they seemed to be only a small percentage and I liked the look, so I ordered it. I'm not sensitive to chemical odors, the scent of paint or varnish, etc, but this thing has a funky smell. Over a week in, I'm still leaving my bathroom fan on quite a bit to pull it out of the house.On top of that, it's not all that comfortable to stand on. Each of the rubber nubs on top is over a suction cup on the bottom, so it's like standing on stones, or maybe on steel diamond plate barefoot. If you go barefoot all the time and have tough feet, you'll probably not notice. For the more wimpy among us, it's not pleasant. I weigh 190, but I can see where it might be even worse if you're heavier.Worst of all, however, is that my tub now looks like it was attacked by a herd of indigo octopuses (octopi?). There are blue suction cup marks all over the bottom of the tub - and it's a fiberglass unit, so I can't scrub it with abrasive cleansers. Mold and mildew remover, bleach, and lime scale remover, tried one after the other with a rinse in between, DID NOT remove the rings.It's as if the manufacturer used excessive pigment in the rubber to get the deep blue color and the excess is still leaching out on things. I sure hope these guys don't make condoms too, or you might forever be known as Smurf-boy! They need to take a solvent or something to it to remove the excess dye before they sell it - or start over from scratch. Or stop making these entirely.My tub had been freshly cleaned before I used this mat; I'm thinking that perhaps, if it had a layer of soap scum or hard water mineral buildup on the surface, I might have dodged the blue marks. Obviously, they didn't send an advisory that it must be used only in dirty tubs...Bottom line: there are dozens of other choices out there. This one is not a good choice and mine is going back. Avoid this mat at all costs!

I have had this for several weeks now and it really does resist growth of mold and mildew. Have not yet had to scrub it with bleach. And another nice feature is that it is clear so you can see if anything is growing underneath. Other reviewers have remarked on a strong chemical smell but I have not noted any. On the minus side, it is not really comfortable to stand on, but to me that is a minor inconveniance and outweighed by the benefits.

I had been looking for ages for a non obtrusive long bath mat and this fits the bill perfectly. It is quite sturdy with good grip via suckers that attach to the bath. The long length is also great as it goes from the plug hole and covers three quarters of my bath base. It is fairly easy to clean although the under side us a little tricky due to the suckers. Would definitely buy again.

I just want to start saying that I didn't buy this mat to use it as a mat, I've managed to pull out the idea of using it for something else and I would like to share it with anyone who is interested in reading it. As an international college student it's quite hard (because of the time) and expensive for me to wash all my clothes in the laundry. So I've developed this idea of using this mat as a washboard or in this case as a washmat. In case you do not know what a washboard is, imagine a board that has little barrows in it. This barrows allows you to rub your clothe against the mat or board and therefore being able to wash them. Of course, you must do it by hand. So if you have delicate hands I suggest you use gloves, this is very useful for jeans and shirts. However, I will only recommend you to use it with shirts because jeans require a lot of effort. Anyways, this can be installed on every surface you can think of, me personally decided to use mine in the sink. Of course, you can use it in the bathtub or any other place that has a source of water nearby for you to wash your clothes. In conclusion, it has been great for me I've washed all my shirts in it and saved a lot of money in laundry. Hope this was helpful for anybody in my situation.
