Slightly milder than some brands, but delicious and flavourful...i
Delicious high quality somewhat mild mustard oil. Well packaged with lots of bubble wrap, this glass bottle arrived safe and intact in less than 48 hours even though the estimated shipping time given by Amazon was over a week. Overall I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. By the way, I ignore the " for external use only" warning on the label. I'm more inclined to trust thousands of years of medicinal and dietary use in places like Bangladesh and India over what the FDA (whose track record is laughable) recommends. Not to mention the fact that I ate and fell in love with a dish containing mustard oil (prepared for me by my native Bangladeshi friend) before even finding out about the FDA ban! I ate it many times, fell in love with the flavour and I'm still very much alive and healthy. I loved it so much, I bought the biggest bottle I could find! After several tastey meals, I've decided I'll be sticking with this brand.

Must Have Mustard
Although this product is "not FDA approved for human consumption," it has been used for thousands of years in ayurvedic cooking and healing, is perfectly safe, has a wonderful aroma, and powerful cleansing mustard essence. This is the primary ingredient in the famous "Lorenzo's Oil" which is used to slow the effects of ALS, and strengthens myelin sheathes in the brain. It is also used as toothpaste.

Okay Product
It is fine for what I use it for - not often, however, whenever it fits the bill.

Sooo Freakin' Yummy! A New World from the Old World
OK, so it's early in my mustard oil career, hee, and I don't have much of a reference. And I have not "YET" had enough time to test all the various health applications and benefits. But I picked up a 750ml bottle of this baby at a local Indian grocery store yesterday for a pretty reasonable price (gotta LOVE San Francisco!), and already I'm thrilled by the culinary possibilities. Was initially a bit hesitant after reading more than one review saying this was too mild compared to other mustard oils, but I opted for this over the Dabur brand after reading that that oil contains the controversial preservative TBHQ. When I first opened the KTC bottle, it did not strike me with a very distinct aroma. A quick taste test with a drop on the fingertip didn't impress me much. Good thing that hours later I actually tried this on some food. Wow! What a difference! A few bites into dinner and I was already dreaming up where else I can go with this and food. It's as if when paired with food, it releases and reveals its true qualities: a yummy distinct mustard hot that is at the same time delicate and complex. As stated, I have no other mustard oil to compare to yet, but what I found was an absolutely delicious oil that enhanced and livened up just about everything it touched. Dinosaur Kale never tasted so good (the oil's hot-ness was so perfect with the inherent mild bitterness of the kale). Yam greens. Squash. Roasted red peppers. Even with steak. Geez. My only concern was becoming an instant addict, ha ha ha. Probably went through 3 or 4 tablespoons all in one sitting, ha ha. It's like a whole new world of possibilities just opened up, and it's up to my imagination to explore the new territories.I also like that the 750ml bottle looks a bit like a bottle of Single Malt Scotch, ha ha ha. Same liquid color, bottle neck shape, etc (resemblance is more apparent in person than the photo). So, I'm totally excited to see what I will do with this in the future. Of course I'm going to check out different brands. Also, I will absolutely explore all the other internal and external applications and see what health benefits I will reap. A new journey begins!Note: I am very curious how this oil is extracted, as there is no mention on the bottle or on their website. Hopefully it's all good and pure and chemical free. Any informed input on this would be greatly appreciated. Also, this was produced in the UK. Wondering if the source mustard was grown in the UK, or imported, and from where. I've never associated the UK with great produce/agriculture, though that could just be my ignorance and previous superficial impressions ... and perhaps from being spoiled by kick-ass organic California veggies.Hope this helps your decision.Cheers!ps. Regarding the "For External Use Only" labeling: F#@k the FDA! Who actually trusts them anyway? Just look at some of the things that they have actually approved and for whom (pharmaceutical and GMO food giants, etc). Besides, it's already determined that their decades old tests of mustard oil were majorly flawed. I'd go with thousands of years of safe usage over the freakin' opinion of the venal FDA clowns anytime.
