Fuel Filler Door Opener Actuator 81590-3S000 For Sonata 09-14 Sonata Hybrid 11-15

Pretty great , I literally installed it on my own, watched some YouTube videos . We’ll of course my dad showed me some things but it was mainly me and it was super easy to install. I just think I needed a longer attachment because now I don’t have to emergency cord to pull to open the gas cover but other than that great!! I was so tired of seeing that gas cover slightly open.

This seems to be a legit OEM part for a pretty damn good price. It’s not a 2 man job per say, but it would be easier if you have someone to hold the piece in place while you screw on the bolts.I cut the rubber boot to access the bolts on the older unit (yes you must recycle the bolts) but I’ve done some digging around and learned that it is possible to pry the inner black reservoir housing from the body of the vehicle. This would allow you access to the bolts without needing to cut the rubber boot. I opted to cut because I didn’t want to risk ruining my paint if the pry job was too tricky. Just know that if you cut that rubber boot, water can get in there and cause damage and oxidation over time. Might be a good idea to seal the cuts w tape.All in all, I’d rank this repair as a basic one that anyone with the proper tools can handle on their own. No need to go to the dealer or shop. Took me about 45 minutes to do the job on my own. Works like new.

Not easy to install but to no fault of the product. It just is.

Product is as described, and is the exact same part I pulled out of my 2014 Hyundai Sonata GLS. I ended up having to cut holes in the gasket of mine because there was no obvious way to unscrew the old part without doing so. Not the part’s fault, just A lack of knowledge on my part, or lack of quality on Hyundai’s. Happy to say I can now open and close my fuel door from inside my car.

The dealership wanted $150 just for the part. That did not include labor. The price on here was outstanding, just a great value. I watched a couple YouTube videos and was able to replace the part myself for zero dollars. Watch the video where the man cuts the rubber that exposes the screws. Makes it much easier to do.

The fuel door opener actuator works great and for the price it was a good value as well. Note Installation required need to have a second set of hands to install this item that is Why I rated it has 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
