12-Cup Replacement Glass Carafe for Coffee Maker, DCC-1200PRC

Good device, perfect replacement.

Hard to believe how easy it is to crack one of these carafes: was swirling water in it and just tapped the inside of the sink-- knocked a piece of glass from the bottom rim. So after that happened, I went on to Amazon... hard to believe how expensive the exact replacement carafe is! I was initially looking at the knockoffs (not thrilled with what I saw and read there), but then found this exact replacement under an open-box return for about half-price, and it was indeed like new. It's been working perfectly for months now. (And frankly, if I'd had to pay the full price for a replacement carafe, I'd probably have just toddled on down to Wally's and bought a new coffee maker.)

Like for like! Works great, fits in properly, glass thickness same as the original.

The Cuisinart DCC-1200PRC 12-Cup Replacement Carafe is not compatible with granite or tile counters - this is the second one I've replaced. The first time I paid $29 at one of the chain home stores because I needed the replacement carafe immediately. This time I was able to wait a few days - even with super saver shipping and the holidays, I had my Cuisinart DCC-1200PRC 12-Cup Replacement Carafe five days after ordering it! Amazon's price was the best on the web - generic carafes might be a bit less, but shipping charges result in their being more costly than purchasing the real thing from Amazon. There are a few tips for those purchasing the DCC-122 Coffeemaker or a replacement carafe. It is better if you do not put the Cuisinart DCC-1200PRC 12-Cup Replacement Carafe in the dishwasher. I've found that fine particles get trapped between the black plastic inner band and the glass portion of the carafe. To me, this indicates the adhesive used to join the two pieces may be loosening which allows the particles to become trapped. Not only is it unappetizing and unappealing in appearance, it also causes some concern as to whether the plastic and glass pieces of the carafe might separate when coffee is being poured and cause an injury. When placing the carafe on a hard surface, be sure you are placing it so the flat bottom, as a whole, comes in contact with the surface. I have broken the two previous carafes because when setting them down, I've "hit" the edge of the carafe on the counter surface causing the carafe to crack. The DCC-1200 coffeemaker is a 5 star product and the Cuisinart DCC-1200PRC 12-Cup Replacement Carafe is, too. You cannot go wrong purchasing a genuine Cuisinart DCC-1200PRC 12-Cup Replacement Carafe from Amazon - the price is the best on the web, super saver shipping is rapid, and the carafe allows you to brew an excellent pot of coffee using the DCC-1200 coffeemaker.

We love our Cuisinart coffee maker and bought this replacement carafe a few months after purchase when we accidentally broke the carafe while washing it in the sink. Then we bought another one a few months later when again, we broke it while washing it. I'm writing this review for the third one we've purchased. Again, the glass broke while washing in the sink. All three times it has broken because it tapped against the granite countertop that is next to the sink and shattered. We aren't super rough with it, but I would definitely caution anyone buying this to be gentle with it. We probably could have just bought a new coffeepot with the amount we've spent on replacements, I do find them to be slightly expensive, but at this point it has become a challenge to see how long we can go without breaking it.

I broke my carafe from cusinart DGB-800 last month and this part is out of stock at cusinart website for more than a month. At cusinart website they say that no other carafe is compatible with this cafeteria model. So, I bought this product used just to try it on. It fits perfectly. It’s not the same carafe, but it works well. If you have a DGB-800 it’s worth to try.

THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR THE HAMILTON BEACH FLEXBREW. I bought this as a replacement for the Hamilton Flexbrew because the original carafe broke and Hamilton Beach, for some unknown reason $$$$$, does not make replacements, or at least they are not in stock at the time of this review. See uploaded pics. The carafe will fit the heating plate but will not reach the spring spout stop. Of course this can be rigged, but I am definitely not suggesting you try this. I'm only letting you know what I did (my laywer made me say that), because the way I rigged it, coffee will continue to pour, not drip, when the carafe is removed. You can take the spring stop completely out, but I thought it poured way too fast. GOTTA HAVE TIME FOR THOSE PRECIOUS GROUNDS TO SOAK! So, I clipped a piece of the spring to make a sort of key ring for the filter stop, SEE PIC. The flow is the most consistant with what it was before, but you still cannot remove the carafe or the coffee will continue to drip. This worked for me, at least until Hamilton comes out with a replacement. Thanks guys! Stay safe out there!

Acheté en «usagé», mais était neuf. Seulement la boite avait été ouverte et refermée. Aucun dommage. Parfait.
