Elegance Gel Shaving Gel, Jupiter Fragrance, 16.9 oz

I bought this product after I saw a bunch of videos of barbers using it to trim up beards. In the videos it appeared to glide so smoothly and easily across the face. This product is actually quite sticky. It is very thick and becomes tacky which is the opposite of what you want in a shave gel. I use a straight razor with disposable blades and even with a brand new blade this product does not provide that smooth gliding sensation. It simply does not provide enough lubrication. I have tried a hot towel before shaving as well as mixing the product with water to try to make it more slick but nothing seems to work. The only positive thing I have to say about it is that it being clear is nice so I can see where I am shaving. Beyond that I would avoid.

I do shaves at work and this stuff is amazing. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me real quick when I saw the results. If you apply a layer on the face and cover it with a hot towel the hair comes off on the straight razor like butter and this gel smells really good. I like this stuff a lot. It's great for doing a quick lineup on the hair and beard as well with no hot towel. Great for most skin types. My beauty supply now carries it so I don't know if it is cheaper here or there yet. We will see.

I love that this is clear, and love the scent (minty fresh) but in my opinion it doesn't protect/lubricate? As much as traditional style gel. My first use was with a brand new fusion proglide blade, so I could easily tell the difference. This really isn't an issue for me personally, but I Could see it being an issue for others. Little rougher shave than I was used to. I'm not an everyday shaver, and will continue to use the product. Also love the pump style container, so much neater, no clean up.

I got this stuff because in my travels, I've seen a lot of different barber shops use this. The clear gel lets you see everything so you can get all the fine edging in. The scent is pleasant and doesn't stay on you all day. A little of this goes a long way, so the bottle should last you quite some time. I have real sensitive skin and using this, I have not broken out with bumps a single time.

I bought this product to use in replacement for regular foam shaving cream for my daily shaving of beard and mustache stubble. I was a little skeptical at first because most of the pictures show it being used for hair and scalp. Let me just say that this stuff is amazing. I’ve always had fairly sensitive skin and have dealt with the dry/burning sensation on my face after a shave. So far i have not experienced any of that with shaving with this stuff. It comes out as a clear sort of gel so it’s definitely different than traditional foam shaving cream but it shaves very, very close and keeps irritation to a minimum. I purchased the “Jupiter” scent (green bottle) and it’s sort of a minty/menthol-ish smell which is refreshing. For the price and the size of the bottle you can’t go wrong, will definitely be re-purchasing once i run out.

I always bought shave gels based on price and decided to splurge and try this product. I couldn't believe how much easier it was to shave and how closer I could get without irritating my skin. There is a notable difference so going forward I'm sticking with this product.

When I went to open the top and twisted it the cap literally came off like a bottle of champagne was being opened and I’m lucky it didn’t hit me in the face!!! That my only complaint I got a defective bottle oh and! This stuff is sticky and feels gross have to be diluted with water or it’s like shaving with jelo

Solid replacement for conventional shaving cream!This is great for those who like to see where they are shaving, especially when lining up your beard! The pump allows you to control how much you use so you don't waste it. I would definitely buy these again!
