Life-Sized Animal Tracks Hardcover – Illustrated, February 6, 2018

I'm the lead volunteer for a group of seniors with dementia. I ordered one of these books, then ordered 10 more because it was SO good! I plan and facilitate five hours of themed activities on Tuesdays so the seniors' caregivers can have some time off. These books were for an "Amazing Animals" themed day. Each of the participants is paired with a volunteer for the day. It was nice to have a set so each pair could look at the book, select an animal to focus on, answer several questions, including the name of the animal, the page number, why they chose the animal, what a group of this animal was called, and one interesting fact. They then took turns sharing this info with the rest of the group. Since everyone had the same book, others could follow along on the correct page as each participant shared this info. The activity held their interest and they all seemed to enjoy it. The book has large print, which is great for older eyes, and the text was simple and straightforward, but not at all childish. Everyone learned something new, including the participants and volunteers. Grandparents would probably enjoy sharing this with their grandchildren, too. Perfect for multi-generational use!

Bought this for my 3 year old who recently became obsessed with animal tracks (and who wanted to confirm the fox tracks weren’t from a wolf!) We love it and love ending with the big foldout elephant track. Book arrived in excellent condition too! (Always a plus!)

Good book for adventures

I wanted to love this book. It's beautiful in every way, but there are certain inaccuracies that I couldn't get past. For example, the common otter lives in North America yet this wasn't demonstrated on the map. And a Grizzly bear is not eye level with the average man (5'9) while on all fours. I started double checking dimensions for certain paw prints and began to find other exaggerations, so I returned it.

I bought this book and the Animal poop one together. I LOVE both. Great buy. I wondered if they would use the same facts/information about the animals in both books, but the don't. I learned new things from both books. And both books contain different animals. My toddler LOVES them too, and the best part its a book she grow up loving. There is diffrent details and tid bits that make these great books for all ages and great for diffrent lesson plans as well! Great buy! Will be looking into other books they might offer.

If you already have life sized animal poop, there are some overlapping animals and some different ones! They also added the collective nouns to this one, which was a nice surprise!

My 3 1/2 year old loves this book! She is fasinated with all the different footprints We have to read it several times.

I bought this book for my EYFS class, beautiful illustrations, rather more American animal tracks than British but still lovely to share with the children.

This is wonderful. Such a brilliant illustration of animal tracks which is easy to use and fun to read and learn from.
