Bluer than it looks.
The photos show the dye (mood of blue only applied on the bottom ends of my hair, pravana violet on the upper) as it fades naturally one week at a time. First photo is the day of, second photo is one week after, third photo is 2 weeks after. It doesn't last as long as Pravana.I previously have used direct dye Pravana Violet which turns more reddish purple on my light-brown bleached hair, but I wanted to make my hair or at least the bottom part of my hair less red and more blue tinted violet. I was able to easily achieve that with this Mood Of Blue color. However, it was a lot more of a greenish-blue on my hair, so I did have to actually mix half and half. Half of Pravana Violet, with half of this Mood of Blue, and it gave a nice rich violet/indigo color. Though it turned more blue than purple after washing it out, so that is something to look out for. I am still satisfied since it matches with one of my favorite dresses. But I will try next time to mix in more Pravana Violet, maybe 2/3 or 3/4.Really, my only wish is that it lasted longer. Normally I'm told that blue colors are supposed to stay longer on hair than reds, yet the more reddish purple stays on my hair much longer. Might be maybe Pravana is just more high quality? I don't know, but if you don't mind the shorter time to fade, or like me it's an easy-to-reach location you're dying, it's fine.

A potential new favorite
After BTZ Color Jamz got discontinued I've been on the hunt for a new cruelty-free red dye. Tried many things only to be disappointed with color quality, lack of longevity, challenging application, or strong chemical smell.I'm two weeks into my first dye attempt with Color X-Change Renegade Red and so far I'm quite pleased with the results.I don't bleach my hair, but my hair is a little on the porous side, so it absorbs dye nicely. For this application, I applied the dye over dry hair, root to tip. After, I put a plastic shower cap over my head then applied heat to my hair with my blow dryer for less than five minutes. I then let the dye sit in my hair for three hours (I intended to wait only two, but a small emergency had me lose track of time). I washed it out with cool-ish/lukewarm water and a gentle shampoo, followed by a vinegar rinse and light conditioner. The stains on my scalp went away after my second shower after application. The picture provided on the right is the color after two washes, shown in bright daylight.

Don't waste ur money
I picked this hair dye after days of searching for the color I wanted. Wen it arrived I immediatel6 noticed that the bottle was bigger than most hair dye bottles, so I thought there's no way it wont he enough to do my whole head......well I was wrong. But not only was it not enough it was very thin and didnt coat my hair properly. I applied the dye and waiter the 30 mins to process and wrinsed it out. Wat I saw in the mirror was horrible. The color was 3-4 different colors. Very inconsistent. And it did not cover my grays!! I have been dyeing my hair myself at home for 20 years and I have never tried a hair dye I was more dissappointed with. I like to do different colors and usually love just about any way my hair turns out except this time. This hair dye is thin and runny, it does not coat the hair right, and it turned my hair several different colors. My hair was purple on the middle. The color of the dye was supposed to be turquoise so how it ended up purple only in the middle is beyond me. Lol. With the different colors my hair turned out, can u believe that none if them were turquoise. It was a bige waste of money and time. I will not purchase agaon and I dont suggest anyone else does either. First hair dye fail in 20 years 🤬🤬😣😫😭😭

It was ok for the price
The product was ok. I had mixed feelings. with application and pigmentation it was great but the color on the label and the color in the bottle was different than the outcome of the dye and this was on a platinum blonde canvase. It turned out blue instead of purple.

No, just no.- Update!
*Edit* I decided to do the whole head, in the Plushy Purple (magenta violet depending on starting color) vs wander about with lavender splotches. Still comes out to ruin any towel you use to dry . The color is beautiful perfection, & I’m so in love! Happy ending to a terrible beginning* the colors do fade pretty quickly, but overall seem to compare to most permanent brands! ’ve been searching for a semi permanent coloring that would actually hold to mine & my 5yo daughters hair without damage. We have tried so many big brands & the color doesn’t deposit. (Fresh shampoos no conditioner even, I’m talking naked hair to a crispy level still no color sticks). I decided for the price I’ll give it a shot, it’s not any real $ to lose.I did the underneath of my hair with this gorgeous plum color, expecting nothing, hoping for a nice tone on my already dark brown underneath hair.I rinsed in cool water, it ran clear. I dried my hair, the shirt I used turned pink. Back to rinsing. I repeated this 3x! At this point all the color has washed out of my brown hair, & now my blonde is lavender. This product doesn’t wash out. It just keeps running, & running, & running. I kept my hair separated as I always do for coloring & washing but in the end when putting product in thinking I was in the clear after 40 mins of washing… it turns out I’m not & now I’m purple. Including my hands. If you’re not color blocking go for it, if you plan to have sections- skip this because it will run alllllll over your head.
