I bought these not to secure a vent, but affix bumper stickers to it to make them car magnets. They work great! Easy to cut and stays on the car through rain and wind and even through the rough gas station car wash. These are a great way NOT to stick something permanently to the car. Stick them on the top of these magnets and then cut out the magnet and you have yourself a great car magnet.

These were purchased to redirect the heat to colder areas in our home. We own a split level design, and our childrens’ bedrooms are over the garage. Our garage is not heated and makes the childrens’ bedrooms chilly at night, despite shutting vents.PROS:1- the magnetic hold was good.2. The size fit great.3. we applied 4 covers to the main areas of the home and there was a HUGE change in the rooms! The main area did not feel any colder but the kids’ rooms were almost too warm!CONS:The white part of the cover is a peel off sheet of paper that exposes an adhesive. This was not described in the item description. The edges of my white paper a curling up after about 1 week of use. This doesn’t impact the function.Perhaps, a coordinating laminate or wood could be stuck to the adhesive to blend in?These items were purchased with my own money. My house was built in the 50s and I have an old HVAC unit above my bedroom. This makes it so that my room is around 15 degrees warmer or cooler than the rest of the house. My friend recommended I get these magnetic vent covers because they work for her sister. I got them right away and put them on my vent the way the photos are displayed. I was really mad because the magnet wasn't sticking. Fast forward a year or so later, a light bulb lit up, I ended up taking the vent off and put the magnetic covers on the inside the screwed the vent back in. Now it works great. The air bypasses my room and heads out everywhere else. I took a star away only because the vent whistled and is finally quieting after a month.

4 pack was enough to securely cover a large size vent. Having 4 in a single pack allows for some flexibility in how many covers you want to layer over each other to fit the size of the vent you want (though I'm sure it wasnt intended to be used that way). Since they're all magnetic they stick to each other anyway.

Very good quality and strong. I needed to cover the vents in my basement because during the warmer months with the central A/C on, the temperature there can be freezing even after closing the vents. The vents are in the ceiling and once installed they stayed put, no problem. They work great !

They won't stick to the vent. I got them to block the vent so I wouldnt die from the heat

Magnet holds strong. Had to cover a vent near a piano for the pianos sake. Blends right in and works well.

does what it's supposed to do but the white covering gets in the way of it's magnetism on that side. Looks like you can peel it off, but would leave a bit of residue.
