2Pcs 9 LED Round Front Fog Light DRL Daytime Running Light White Unfortunately both of the lights I got sent didn't work . I already had the bumper of off my car so decided to fix them rather than wait for some more. Yes I know I could have returned then for replacement ...I was just too impatient ...and I work as an electrical engineer so If I couldn't fix some led lamps I'd feel very silly. Taking the lights apart was not too difficult just had to drill out all the hot melt glue in the screw holes...Use a 7.5mm drill bit if you have to do this. In one lamp the White supply wire was detached from the PCB so resoldered that in the other lamp one leg of the bridge rectifier was not soldered another easy fix ...however it does point to a lack of build quality and quality control. On the plus side they look great once fitted and make any car look more modern ...ok they're nowhere near as bright as 55 watt halogen fog lights but they do have a much whiter colour so it's a trade off. One down side is the LEDS run very very very hot ...I powered them up on 12V from my bench PSU and they hit 70C in under a minute (measured with my Fluke DMM and thermocouple ) outside of the enclosure they'll surely get hotter quicker inside the lamp enclosure ..Also the LEDS are mounted on an ordinary phenolic PCB not the Aluminium core PCB that a lot of lamps use so there is effectively no heat sinking at all...so I have to wonder about the longevity of these lamps. At least they're as cheap as chips.
